The Cheese Baby

I know there are times in our lives that we have to learn the hard way. Those are the lessons that teach us so much about ourselves that no one else can help us as we have to move through our own experience to learn. This was such the case when I was working at the Acupuncture clinic in Fort Worth, TX. My friend who owned, and ran the clinic offered to cure me one day when I told her that I was Lactose intolerant. She offered to use tuning forks instead of needles as I don't like needles so I decided to take her up on it since I had nothing to lose. I got on her table, and she did a ten minute session with her tuning forks then let me lay there resting as the energy from the forks realigned the atoms in my physical body bringing it back into balance. I laid there for another ten minutes thinking to myself that I didn't feel a thing. I had no spiritual visions. I felt that I didn't have any sensation that anything had really changed except I felt relaxed from the treatment which was really nice. I went home thinking that nothing really happened, and quickly forgot about it.

A few days later my little sister came to visit with the whole family. It was an amazing time with everyone together. One night she had a cheese platter with every kind of cheese you can think of. If you know me then you know that I love cheese, and have always had a love affair with it. I have no trouble at all helping myself to it only to know that being lactose intolerant I will eliminate it from my body within the few hours. I also know that with cheese I don't suffer any pain as it leaves so I don't have to worry about calories, or how much I eat as it all goes away.

This time no one in our family was eating the cheese as there were a lot of other goodies to eat.  I couldn't help myself as I tired one kind of cheese then another only to take seconds, or thirds possible even more of my favorites. Hours went by, and I was still good. It wasn't until the middle of the night when I awoke with this terrible stomach ache that I realized that something had gone terrible wrong. A rather large amount of pain ripped through my body, and tore at my insides as though I was about to go into labor. My stomach was hard, and I really thought I was about to have a baby. To put it mildly I tired to eliminate it, but had no such luck. My suffering for the rest of the night seemed endless, and continued on into the morning. I begged my husband to go to the store to find something to relieve me from my pain, or just finish me off. He was happy to oblige after being kept up all night. The relief was a slow process, but eventually came to an end.

It was then that I called my friend asking what had happened to me.  I told her what I had eaten, and she began to laugh on the phone as she explained that what I was experiencing was what most people do who are not lactose intolerant. My body was now functioning on a normal process of breaking down the cheese, and I had overloaded it. No longer could I have my fill of my favorite food. There were healthy limits.

With this realization I begged her to change me back to being lactose intolerant. I had lived over forty years with it, and knew how it worked in my body. I realized that at that point in my life I didn't want to change. Her answer was that her job was to fix people not break them. I ended up doing energy work on myself trying to bring myself back to where I was before her treatment as I felt comfortable being lactose intolerant. Eventually I was able to change my body back to the way it was before.

Years later I was teaching a class with my friend who is a Fire Walker. We had two students who were really trying to heal from certain experiences in their lives, and were really vocal about it. That is when my friend stopped, and turned directly to them asking if that they could be healed that day would they be okay with it. Now I remember thinking what an odd question that he was asking as I believed in my heart that we all want to be healed so that we can move on.  I remember that both students paused for a long time as we all waited to hear that they wanted to be healed. But it came to mine, and everyone's surprise as they both agreed that they didn't want to be healed because they understood how to live with their pain, and to heal would change the way they had to think, and live their lives. As I sat there in shock I heard a gentle guidance from within reminding me that I was not so much different as the cheese baby incident came crashing through my thoughts.

You see whether it is a spiritual, physical, emotional, or a mind experience that we are working on we are human after all, and sometimes the real cure can be more than what we are willing to achieve in that time in our lives.

Reading All the Signs

Part of spiritual growth is learning about being aware of any kind of repetition in signals, triggers, and subtle thought patterns that we may possess. It is by taking a moment to analyze this that we will learn a lot about ourselves, and how we can change our lives creating new opportunities when we tune into those frequencies. What I mean is that we may pick the same kind of friends over, and over in our lifetime. We may find that we are attracted to the same kind of mate over, and over again. We may even find a form of sabotaging ourselves, and our relationships as we peel back the layers. Then there are those times that we notice that we are falling into the same financial struggles as we end up in the same situations that we have been in before.

In those experiences there is always some kind of key to our thinking, behavior, or lesson that teaches us to find another way out of those positions. All we have to do is to be aware of the maze that we are in, and the way we tried to problem solve the last time. Most of the time it will lead us back to where we started, but eventually as we recognize our patterns it allows us to discover that there are many ways to looking at the same problem that help find the solution to the way out.

Most of us use the old "Trial and Error" as it is the way we can really dig our teeth into it. Then we have "Reasoning and Searching" for an answer.  On our journeys we might find others that have had the same experiences, and help show us the way out. In those cases it is important to remember the lesson lest we get stuck in the same situation again.  Monotony is the word I like to use as we continue down a path that seems some what familiar. I always find myself a bit surprised when this happens as the signs, and cues are always there, I just failed to allow myself to see them. Once a pattern becomes apparent so does a lifetime of memories come rushing in as I remember the pattern in different experiences. As a person looking from the outside in they may see it as ridiculous, but to the person on the inside they may see it as normal making it all the harder to recognize.

So you ask... what do we do? First is to identify, and be aware of an unhealthy pattern as it will continue to come up until we take notice. Then we start to watch for the signs making a note if there are any triggers, or consequences when this pattern is repeated in our lives. Then it is about being aware of how the pattern affects us in our physical, emotional, and spiritual day to day living. After that we can take a look at all the different angles, and how all the puzzle pieces fit together creating the full picture.  This makes changes possible allowing to grow out of an experience that keeps repeating itself, and move on.

The Go Between

As I started to take a part the energy pattern of control I soon discovered the "Go Between" zone. What is the "Go Between" zone you may ask? It is where a person gets into a situation where they stand between two other people who are not communicating well. Now I am not talking about the professional trained counselor or a psychiatrist. What I am talking about is the someone who finds themselves being the go between two other people who refuse to work out their issues. The "Go Between" zone starts out to be perfectly innocent, and then it leads into a whole different ball of wax as the three personalities start to compete for control with their agendas. If you ever heard of the expression "Damned if you do, and Damned if you don't" then you have probably had some experience with this energy pattern.

What I find most intriguing about this energy pattern is that the person that is trying to help the situation after pulling the layers back a little is in their own way trying to control the situation to create some kind of peace in their own life. This is not a bad thing, and often they are labeled as the peace keeper. The only problem with this pattern is that the person that ends up as the "Go Between" usually creates chaos for themselves as they try to balance the scales. I am not saying that we shouldn't try to help someone if they ask for help, but often this pattern usually comes to a head when the "Go Between" is asked to pick sides. This situation then only creates a feeling of loss of control as the scales try to tip heavy to one side for the "Go Between" as they search for where their loyalties rest in the whole picture. Unfortunately balance is not always achieved as going between the two is no longer an option.

I have noticed this behavior in adults who as children had gone through a tough divorce with their parents, and often end up having this pattern as they have tried to adapt to each parent's coping styles do to their circumstances. Then there are situations where two friends that have had a spat, and another friend steps in trying to help heal the situation so that life can continue as it was. There are also those examples with coworkers who disagree creating anxiety within the work place. Sometimes it is good to step back allowing others who have differences of opinions to resolve their own issues as they create situations for themselves to learn form. In any case it is really good to be aware if you find yourself as a "Go Between" taking the time to examine what is happening within yourself as you analyse your true motives.

As for the Go Between it may be better to step aside in most cases letting someone who is trained as a negotiator who can help resolve or bring the issues to some kind of compromise if it is possible.

The Gift of Flowers

I wanted to make a note of something that I have learned about flowers.  One of my favorite things to have in the house on occasion is fresh cut flowers from either our garden, or I buy them.  It was brought to my attention years ago from one of my teachers that flowers are good for clearing the energy in a room. Some of my spiritual teachers will have fresh cut flowers in the room where they teach as flowers will soak up any dense, or negative energy like a sponge. It not only clears the room, but helps bring balance to the energy of the people in the room.

What is interesting to see is that the flowers will wilt, or change colors when they are around too much negative energy which is a really good sign to make a note of what is going on in that environment. The energy shift may be very subtle happening over night, or it may occur right after you first put them out. Darker energies like dark spirits will also affect the energy of the flowers, but will also be affected by them. The essences of the flowers will change the room's energy at their own cost helping to bring healing into the room, or to the people in the room. Darker energies will often move, or find other places to get away from the essence of the flowers.

If the flowers stay vibrant, and last awhile then it is a good sign that the environment that they are in is filled with very positive, and flowing energy. People who have extremely high, and a very positive vibrations can contribute the energy of the flowers to where they last a lot longer then usual as their energy mixes with the flowers prolonging their blooms.

The other thing to know about flowers is that some healers will use flower essences by mixing them in an elixir to help bring balance to their clients energy fields. Amazingly it does work. It when you really get down to it, everything we know breaks down into a form of energy. The flowers have an energy essences that they give off in their own fields that helps bring that person's energy field back into balance. When you send flowers to someone you love when they are sick you might want to look up the flower essences, and see what flowers help heal the kind of illness the person you are sending them to. Not only are they beautiful to the, eye but there is a lot more going on that the eye can't see. One thing to know is that the body knows the energy signals, and latches on to it.

" A Lesson for the Week"

Each week I seem to have some kind of spiritual lesson whether it is something that I notice off hand, or a pattern that keeps repeating itself until I finally realize what is going on. This past week seemed to be all about boundaries with other people's energy fields. The only problem I have had with keeping boundaries is when I am over tired, or needing a break I will merge with someone spontaneously. That is when I become super sensitive to other people's energy fields, and picking up information.

Now I want to mention that is not just me, but everyone has this going on as we are both spiritual, and physical beings. Most may not know it is happening, or even be aware of it. If you have ever heard the expression "Pull yourself together," you may be experiencing yourself in several different ways. The trick is to be conscious of what is going on in your own body, mind, and soul at the time it is happening. When you do this you may find that you are not really fully present in your physical body, but off somewhere else. This is what we do when we are having traumatic experiences, over tired, stressed, or times of needing a break. It is a natural process, and often if we are aware in those states we can access information about ourselves, and even others.

What we have to remember is that we are all connected to each other, and everything that exists. Thought is again energy, and everything including the physical world when you break it all down is energy. The really cool aspect of this is that as conscious beings we can become aware of our own energy, and other people's frequencies patterns. If we are in that state of consciousness we can match the frequency, and merge into the pattern. It is like fitting a square peg into a square peg.  This can also be achieved with animals, plants, and anything we can think of.

What I do want to point out is that unless it is spontaneous it is considered bad manners to move into someone's else's frequency on purpose to access information without their permission. What I have learned from my experience is that when I drift what follows is that I find myself in someone's else's energy frequency as the soul has no boundaries. Again boundaries are limitations, and rules that we agreed to follow in the physical world so balancing the two can sometimes be harder than one may think.

We can also do this in our physical bodies only we are often limited by the boundaries of the physical world. What I mean by this is when you are with someone, and they are grieving, and you may feel it on a physical level within your own body, and mind. Sometimes it will go as deep as to penetrate your soul where you experience this emotion as if it was yours.  Again this all reminds me how connected we are to each other, and everything around us.

"Robin on the Roof"

I have had the honor of working with one of my dear friends in one of her callings in life which is "Robin on the Roof".  In 2010 as we traveled to a wedding in India my friend informed me that she had been having dreams of sitting on the roof somewhere for a cause. The only thing was that she was not sure why, or when she was supposed to do this only that the dreams kept coming. When we got to India, and saw all the poverty there we found we were touched by all the hunger. When we came back to the States, and she was confronted with people who lost there jobs, and wanting to look for food pantries she was inspired to bring a light to the many who were affected, and were hurting by trying to feed their families.

We decided first to approach a church to ask permission for her to sit on their roof since a lot of people will go there looking for help, but our first efforts were met in fear of paper work, and insurance complications. Since one my other friends was the music director at another church we decided to go there where we were met with open arms in the cause of shedding light, and awareness on the subject of hunger. What happened was a chain of events that took off into an incredible adventure that cascaded into four consecutive years of sitting on the roof to help rise awareness of the many who were struggling to feed their families. "Robin on the roof" is a world wide event, and people are encouraged to donate food, or money to any of their local food pantries from where ever they are.

Each year Robin goes on the roof on the last weekend of May, and stays there until she has met her goal of whatever the pounds of food she sets for the year. This year Robin has made the decision with the blessing of her host church to expand her wings, and fly to another church who has offered to host the event in Arlington TX.  Her plans are to go up on the roof on Friday May 30th at 9am, and not come down until she has met her goal to raise 85,000 pounds of food. This can be donated as food goods, or money donations which will go directly to the food pantries, and food banks. So you know... a donation of one dollar equals 5 pounds of food.

I asked her once why she wanted to sit on the roof so close to the hot Texas summers since the roofs are higher in temperature than for us on the ground. She explained that the main reason is that people often make donations to the food banks, and food pantries during the holiday seasons. It is during the summers that the food pantries, and food banks are the most depleted when the kids are home during their summer break. She felt would be a good reminder to others that there is still a need for food donations during this time of the year. Of course this event is not only for the children, but for anyone who is hungry.  Her goal is to raise the awareness of hunger in the world while creating opportunities for those who want to help anyone who is in need of food.

If you would like to help then please feel free to check out her Facebook..... "Robin on the Roof". During the event you can also keep up with her as she will be blogging everyday, and recording the event as she is on the roof.

Here are also a few different ways you can help...

1. You can donate actual food to your own food pantries, and food banks in the area where you live. All she asks if you will let "Robin on the roof" know how many pounds you donated. You can report the pounds on the "Robin on the Roof" Facebook.

2. You can make a money donation to your local food pantry, or food bank. Again please report your donation to "Robin on the Roof" Facebook so that she can count the pounds in helping her get off the hot roof.

3. Another thing you can do is to make a money donation on the "Robin on the Roof" Facebook on the Paypal account that is set up there to be counted. Your donation will then be divided up, and given to the local food pantries, or food banks in Arlington, TX.

4. You can also drive up to All Saints Lutheran Church in Arlington, TX which will be hosting the event for this year, and make a food, or money donation there in person. Please feel free to say hello, and visit with Robin while you are there.

5. Last, if you can, help spread the word about "Robin and the Roof". All your help with Facebook, Tweeting, word of mouth, or any way you can to get the word out will help tremendously!

As Robin says, "Spread the Word, Spread the Love, and Spread the Food!"

Wherever You Go.... There You Are!

While I was doing the art show a few weeks ago one of the artist had a pin that she made with the saying, "Wherever you go, ......There you are". I of course loved the pin as I have found that it is one of my biggest disappointments, and greatest assists in my own life discovering that I am always there wherever I am. Now you may think this is silly, and in a way it is, but I have come to understand that no  matter how much I am frustrated with myself I can't get away from myself until I work through whatever it is I am carrying. You see no matter how much we try to run away from problems, and the situations that cause chaos in our lives we are still going to have to face them and learn how to maneuver through them.

A lot of times I find that changing venues in an effort to make a fresh start in life doesn't really work because whatever we are running from usually catches up with us, and that is usually ourselves. We still have the same old problems that follow us wherever we go.  We still attract the same relationships, and end up in the same situations until we master or release the patterns in our lives that keep us captive in being human.

What I have to say is that this little pin is a wonderful reminder that no matter how much we think we can get away from ourselves we are always there.

"The Work"

When we are really doing deep healing work on ourselves we end up changing the energy in our energy fields. It is only then when we start to let go of the energy blocks that have held us captive over the years. As we continue to heal we learn that own bodies, and auras have to ability to repair, and heal themselves. This is something that I have discovered that each individual has the capability to do when they have decided they have had enough of the monotony of pain, and suffering. This is when they are willing to go the extra mile to work on themselves, and finally move on.

Now, it has been brought to my attention that when someone is doing deep releasing, and healing work on themselves, and they come into contact with others who have the "same blocks" it will affect the others. What I mean by this is that the other people might discover that they may become sick when they are around the person who is doing their own healing work. It is not because the person that is healing is making them sick, but they themselves are holding on to blocks in their energy fields that keep them from healing. Remember that all energy in which every thing is made up of... are "patterns".

When we come into the presence of someone who is digging deep down into their own healing, and we have the same issues then our own energy fields recognize the pattern wanting to release, and copy the healthy energy patterns. When this happens, and if we have a huge block it may show up as an illness like a headache, stomachache, or flu like symptoms because subconsciously we are not recognizing, or wanting to work on our own stuff. Somewhere in our own energy fields we remember the pattern of what it was like to be whole, and healthy again. This is why the awakening process can sometimes be painful. If you are already working on yourself you will find that just by acknowledging the block, and allowing what shows up to be examined, and released the symptoms will all go away. The important thing is not to blame others, but understanding while recognizing what is within yourself that causes the block in the first place.

If you have a block in a particular area in your energy field you will be able to feel the block. You will experience it as an emotional, or physical condition either way you will respond to it. Another thing that happens with blocks is that your energy fields are still going to be playing the same old program attracting the same kind of people, and the same experiences to you until you do the work. The key is that you have to do your own work. If you don't work on yourself you wont be able to move on to the next energy frequency no matter how hard your energy fields want to move which create a tug of war within you.

I know that we often want a quick fix, or some kind of relief to continue on with our lives, but the truth is we have to work on ourselves. All of us, and the more we do it, it will inspire others, and change those around us as they remember to do their own work.

"And the Meek Shall Inherit the Earth"

There seems to be an incredible energy around certain people that we come in contact with that have the ability to change, and inspire other people's lives without them even realizing they have touched so many. These people when you are in their presence you know, and sense that you have been blessed as their energy seems to lift you up all the while changing the frequency patterns in your cellar structure to a much higher level. I am not talking about desire, or even infatuations with other people, but a recognition that you are in the presence of someone very special. What you will find is that these individuals seem to be humble to the core yet carry a sense of great integrity, and compassion for themselves. and especially others.

I had the privilege to come across one of those unique individuals when I was doing an art show in Fort Worth, TX this past weekend. The person that I am speaking of surprisingly is only a few years older than my oldest daughter. He is a new artist who was also showing his art at the festival which is where I got to know him. As I talked to this twenty five year old young man I recognized when he spoke that I was meeting someone very unusual.

Since I have been working with energy, and studying with my teachers I couldn't help asking him some of the age old questions that have been posed by the Sages to people who are spiritually awaking. What surprised me was that he knew the answers to all the questions, but not because he studied them, or read about them. He knew by his own personal experiences explaining to me how he had understood the meaning of the questions by what had come to him when when going through them in great detail.

During the weekend as we shared a space to show our art I was able to witness others who would walk up, and hug him just happy to be in his presence. Then others would engage him in long conversations. Even my son who came to the show one day, and is known for being an introvert spent an hour talking to the young man about life, and school. The energy in the room as a whole changed drawing people in. I even noticed that people that I knew who dropped by to say hello were different when they left recognizing the shift of the energy within themselves, and around them as it was contagious.

It seems that when we are in the same room with others who are deeply gifted it changes us when we come into contact with them. It not only changes our mood, but seems to change us on a cellar level that stays with us until we add another program to our energy patterns. What I was reminded of was that when we are in our own integrity, and live in the higher frequency levels we inspire those around us, and help raise the energy levels on our planet. It is a wonderful place to live in when we experience those higher levels, and are able to be apart of those amazing frequencies. Now I understand the power in the statement when it is said that, "And the meek shall inherit the earth".

The Gift of Nightmares

I don't know about you, but in the past I have not been a real fan of nightmares. They have caused a great deal of stress when I am dreaming, and waking up from them as I have tried calming myself after experience one. In my own experience I have found that my heart would be racing, or I would wake up in a sweat from my body trying to process everything that happened in the dream. Once I am able recognize that I am okay then I usually dismiss the nightmare as something that doesn't affect me trying to forget it as I go back to sleep.

This has changed in the last few months as I have been doing some personal healing work in my own life. As an artist I have been trying to look at my fears from different perspectives that hold me back along with learning about the situations that I place myself in. As I have been doing the healing work I discovered how valuable nightmares can be in releasing, and learning about what is going on with my whole being on many other levels.

When I am seriously focusing on a fear learning how it all works I find that my dream life relives the fear by playing out different scenarios allowing me to experience it in other ways. Since I am dealing with my fear it usually takes the form of a nightmare. It is when I really take the time to analyze it examining what the nightmare is all about I usually find that it helps me to expand my understanding of my fears in my waking life.

What amazes me is that when I look at the dream I can see the whole picture from a much broader perspective. I can also witness the roles that others play in my life seeing how my own choices cause me to create situations that play out my fears that I feel hold me captive in my physical life experience. By really exploring these nightmares when I wake up I began to see solutions, and how to maneuver my way out of the situations that cause me stress.

Nightmares are incredibly valuable when wanting to learn about yourself, and even learning about patterns that block us in our own lives. I know that sometimes we don't want to remember the nightmare as it it can be alarming, but when we take the time to explore the darkness we often can bring light to that which we are most afraid of. It is also the safest way of learning about one's self without having to experience it in our physical reality.

Healing Energy

In 2004 I was running with a friend, and my left foot hit a pothole which jabbed my leg up into my hip.  I remember that the pain dropped me to the ground, and it took a few minutes to catch my breath to recover. My friend was concerned, but I felt silly so I just decided to walk it out. A few hours later I was not any better, and my husband suggested that we go have the Doctor check it out. After a few x-rays we were told that I had bursitis in that part of my hip from an old injury and I had aggravated it when I jammed it. Later I discovered what it felt like to have bursitis when the weather changed as my hip would throb with pain.

I had also started to develop arthritis over the years in my hands from knitting, and crocheting something I really enjoyed doing. The pain was not incapacitating, but I noticed it was there making my hands feel stiff as pain would shoot through them. I had to stop all my fun projects of knitting, and crocheting all together sparing my hands from the ordeal.

In 2007 I started to study QiGong, and Tai Chi. I also learned Reiki, more for stress management than anything else. It was a few years later when I was in a class where a women was describing her pain with bursitis that I felt this great deal of compassion for her as I understood what she was talking about. That is when I made a mental check of my body trying to locate where mine was. The funny thing is that I couldn't find it. When that happened I remembered my hands, and started to check them looking for the arthritis. It was also gone. My mind raced trying desperately to figure out when was the last time I felt that pain. It was then that I realized that I didn't remember when all of the pain had left me. To this day I don't have any pain, or problems with my hip, or my hands. I now crochet, and knit to my heart's content.

Knowing what I do know now.
.. I have learned that the energy that I was moving through my body with all the energy work had healed both my hands, and my hip.

"Gas Lighting"

I have to admit that I love movie classics, and one of my favorites is called "Gas Light" starring Ingrid Bergman, and Charles Boyer. The movie begins when a famous opera singer was murdered, and her niece Paula, and new husband Gregory move into her home. The rest of the story is about how Gregory isolates Paula more, and more so that he can manipulate her. Each night at a certain time the gaslights goes out causing her to think she is going crazy. The whole time Gregory hides things while playing tricks on her to convince her that she is. I wont spoil the ending for you, but it is a wonderful story about learning how to trust yourself when you see, or experience things.

I know that there are times when we feel that something is wrong, but we aren't able to pin point it at the time as someone may tell us that we are really not clear about what is happening around us. Then we start to doubt ourselves as we began to change our mind thinking that we miss read the signs, or were going crazy. What I have noticed is that this gas light pattern is a lot more common than I think people realize. I have experienced it in both personal, and work relationships. It is one of those patterns that you come away saying to yourself going, "Wait, What!"

Just to make a note that there is a wonderful book about this particular pattern called  The Gas Light Effect, by Dr. Robin Stern "It focuses on the dark side of relationships."  It helps you to identify emotional abuse, and toxic relationships that you may, or not be aware of in your own life. This is a wonderful pattern to learn about weather it is something that you are personally experiencing, or someone in your family, or work environment have come across. It is a wonderful book to have as a reference in your library.

Being Blindsided

I think one of the hardest things to do is to staying calm, and assess what is really happening when verbal, or emotional energy is being flung your way. In most situations I find that we react instinctively as our own emotions are triggered from being hit without warning in response. Most often we immediately become defensive from being blindsided as there seems to be no time to think, or reason what is truly going on. From this perspective it is only about the other person attacking, and countered with a defense, or another attack. What fallows suit is a dispute that continues to perpetuate the situation whither it involves the other person, or not.

Later when it is over, and there is time to look back on the situation other options seem to make themselves more apparent in responding to the emotional, or verbal attack. This is when we wonder if the whole incident was even worth engaging in battle. What I find intriguing is that if you really take the time to look at what is being flung most of the time it has nothing to do with you at all, or what you are doing.  As I continue to observe others, and even myself I see that emotional triggers seem to go on, and off without the a conscious awareness of what is really happening. In most cases we are caught, or we sweep others up into the emotional baggage that we all carry around with us.

If you are in a situation, and feel that you have been blindsided I suggest that to make a conscious decision to really take a moment to look at what is being thrown your way. As you take the time to pause separating yourself from the emotional response you may find that it has nothing to do with you. You just happen to be in the way when the other person's trigger is going off. In those cases the best way to react is to remove yourself from the situation, and remind yourself that the other person is trying to work it out in their own time. I am not going to tell you that it is easy, but being aware is key in learning patterns that run in ourselves, each other, and in our families.

Judgement

Judgement, how many times do we run into this, not only with others, but inside ourselves. Judgement can be something that we become aware of when our lives become unbalanced. Often it will come with a fear that we are carrying inside because if there is only love in our hearts there is no room for judgement.

Often we think that others are very judgmental, but if you really get down to the nitty gritty of listening to our own inner being inside ourselves we will find that judgement of the self is so strong. As I have the amazing opportunity in my own life to interact, and visit with others. I am able to reflect on myself . I find that we as human beings beat ourselves up for not being perfect, and if it is not that then there is always something else we can find.

Why do I bring this up you ask? Because the first step to healing is our emotions inside is to be aware of this, and finding the fear, or the lie that we accepted as truth. It is there in that awareness that we can find freedom freeing ourselves from our own inner bondage granting mercy to ourselves, and others.

Taking time to Smell the Roses

True blessings seem to show up in our lives when we are often in a hurry. I know that sometimes when I am fixed on problem, or a project I may miss out on an experience that plays out around me as I have forgotten to take the time to enjoy and saver my own life experience. In those instances I find that if I am aware later that I have the feeling of a loss.

As I was working on a bracelet that I am beading for a gift I ran out of the color of beads that I needed to finish it. I have to admit that I was a little annoyed with myself from earlier that morning as the container spilled rolling under the couch losing most of what I had left to finish. Since it was such a beautiful day, and I was already meeting a friend for lunch I decided to make a quick trip to my favorite bead store in Fort Worth called the "Artful Bead". I was already playing hooky from working on my book so I planned to only stop in for a minute grab the beads, and head back home.

What made me stay longer was not only the cheerful faces of my friends who own, and work there, but the loving atmosphere of the store. Every time I go there I am engaged in such amazing conversations enjoying the whole experience of creativity. As I chatted with one of my friends about an up coming art show a women who was shopping in the store stopped us asking about the show. At first I just blurted out the details not really connecting to the women. As she began to become apart of the conversation enjoying our love for art she began to share. It wasn't until she went out to the car to bring in the earrings that she made that I made a connection that I had met her before as I began to remember her work. I have to say that work speaks volumes of her talent.

As we all continued to visit she invited us to see her in Arlington at an art show this weekend called "Art on the Greene". We found out that she had also taught as a spiritual teacher, and enjoyed expressing herself through her art. She even had written a book, and was now working at different avenues in her life that pulls that all together. In that moment I was aware that by just taking the time to visit I had found someone who I had quite a lot in common with.

After I left the store with my beads I thought about how lucky I was to have met her as I know that when I am in a hurry I sometimes miss out on the blessings in my life. I guess life is really about taking some time to just enjoy smelling the roses in our lives.  We get in such in a hurry.

Unconditional Love

I remember as a young child playing a game with myself to see how far I could go. I used to start thinking about where I was in the world then would expand my thoughts to the house, the neighborhood, the city, state, country, continent. then the world, universe, solar system, and way out past that...... After awhile I would start to get a headache if I kept going. Somewhere along the way I would get lost in my expanding thought having to stop as it would start to blow my mind. The last part of this game was wondering what was out past all of what I could even think of? Where, and when does it, if ever stop?

Once I had a discussion with one of my dearest friends and the subject of unconditional love came up. In my mind it is a lot like the game I used to play with myself as I see it without limitations. As we began to talk about the subject it came out that maybe we as humans have a hard time understanding what it really means as it can also be mind boggling.

I think that sometimes we can pride ourselves for thinking out of the box only to find that we have traded in the smaller box for a bigger one. The whole idea of limitless is hard to warp our minds around when we try to go there. Somewhere we have to add a boundary or stop so that we can grasp even a hint of the concept of it all. Yet the fact of the matter is that unconditional love has no boundaries, no judgement, no prejudice, or even limitations. It is just what it is.... Unconditional without limits.

As I walked away from my lunch that day I wondered if we as humans would, or even if we could love ourselves, each other, and Source unconditionally?

The Vampire Narcissist & the Martyr

I have been learning about different types of personalities and the one that seems to stand out is the Vampire Narcissist. This is the person who comes into a room demanding other's attention, or as we say holding court when they are present in groups. People in the room have no choice but to give all their attention to that one person as they command the room.

A vampire personality is a person who sucks the energy and life essences out of others. Most people don't know that they are being drained only later when they feel extremely tired after the encounter. The vampire may, or may not be aware that they are draining others. The Narcissist is the personality in the room which finds ways to point the conversations, or looks for any way to bring attention to themselves. They are not known for allowing others in the room to speak nor do they care to hear what others have to say. They are in the own moment which is about them. Now combine the two personalities and you have the Vampire Narcissist.

What I find interesting about this personality is that they are often accompanied by another personality that is codependent in nature which is willing to feed their time and energy to the Vampire Narcissist. You may recognize this personality as the Martyr. The Martyr will always take up for, or fight the battles for the VN. Their whole world is dedicated in some way, or from revolving around the VN. The odd part of this relationship is that the Vampire Narcissist doesn't cherish, or appreciate the extra attention as they already feel entitled to it. This only perpetuates the vicious cycle of this relationship and lord help anyone who stumbles accidentally into this web.

The image that comes to mind is the Bugs Bunny cartoon of the big bulldog and the little dog who is infatuated with his hero. I have to admit that I find this combination of personalities intriguing to watch as I have run up against it many times in my life. Also when I am able to identify this combination I tend to take a wide birth only to watch from a far when it shows up.  Again this is an experience that you want to proceed with extreme caution understanding that what is unfolding in front of you is about their relationship. The trick is not to get caught up in it.

If you want to learn more about these types of personalities then let me recommend Judith Orloff M.D. She has free short videos on her website and books about different personalities that you can identify.

The Fear of the Unknown

I have to admit that when I was growing up I didn't like it when all the lights were out. I remember telling my Dad about the way I felt, and he assured me that there was nothing in the dark that wasn't there in the light. Then he would tell me that if I took the time to go, and investigate I would know that the thing that scared me the most was really the unknown. Years later I see that my father was right.

One of the things that I have noticed is when we really don't have knowledge of something, or we only see it from one angle can also crate fear as we don't know what is that's on the other side. This is a lot like being in the dark. The funny thing about fear of the unknown is the thought.  I mean think about it.  If someone asked you what you were afraid of, and you said, "I don't know?" Then really what is there to be afraid of?

I once took a class from a teacher who is a fire walker, and the thing that he expressed about fear is that sometimes the other side of fear is really moving out of our place of being comfortable. Okay, a little fear is good since it may keep us out of trouble, but when we operate our lives out of fear then really what does that accomplish? What is it that we are missing out if we are to afraid to explore our fear, and see if it is really something to be fearful of.

The Conversation of Food

When I was growing up there were a few things my mother taught me not to bring up in polite conversation one was religion, and the other was politics as people may have very strong opinions. What she didn't tell me was that food was another one of those topics that can push people's buttons. This all came to me as a complete surprise when I found that it did. It is one of those subjects that we all believe is quite innocent, but for most people when you bring up food, or food habits there may be a force to reckon with.

I found it surprising that people have their own eating habits, and like religion don't like to be converted to someone else's idea of how it all works. I mean think about it... I am not talking about dieting to lose weight, but eating just in general.  Amazingly the idea of being vegetarian, vegan, or eating meat brings out people's judgments, or prejudice of how eating should occur. What I find really fascinating is that not only do people have all different ways of eating to maintain their body, but it all breaks down differently with each person.

My daughter for instance has her own particular way of eating than the way I do. If she tries to eat what I eat often her stomach hurts her. On the other hand when I try to eat what she is eating it affects me a lot different than it does her. Now we are both from the same household, but it seems that our bodies process food very different from each other. I do know that even though she carries some of my gene pattern she also carries her fathers. People in other parts of the world eat things that others in other parts of the world do not. Some people may be able to eat more meat where others have to settle on rice, or vegetables. With our world today we all seem to be a bigger melting pot which affects our gene pool changing the way our bodies process things. Then we all get thrown into a culture that has it's own unique eating patterns, and we try to adapt.

In my own case I have had people adamantly show me the food pyramid that we teach in our schools here in the states. I've been lectured about how this program is all about balancing milk, grains, meat, and veggies. Yet I have heard others complain that our bodies were not meant to process milk. Then I have heard the argument that meat is not good for our bodies taking to long to breakdown in our stomachs. Also there are those who believe that grains are not at all good for our bodies either. People who like meat will argue that you must have your meat, or the body will not function right. The vegans, and the vegetarians have their own arguments. When you break it all down you have to wonder what then do we really have left to eat? Again what I find is that eating habits tend to be very unique to each individual, and each person I have talked to seem to be very passionate about their beliefs in the way that the body process food. In this case there is no way in convincing them into trying something different.

On a whole other perspective I have also noticed like everything else in the universe our bodies all vibrate at different frequencies. Like a fingerprint we are all unique. It is because of this that we each have our own way of processing, and breaking down food which is also energy that turns into fuel. So it only makes sense that we as human beings have to find the right way to eat that works for us to get the more efficient fuel for our bodies. The good news is that there is so much information, and so many different kinds of food that we have many choices to choose from.  The key is to find what works for you, and know that others have to find what works for them. What an exciting world we live in, and how wonderful that we are all unique!

Energy Patterns

I had something come up in the Reiki class that I as honored to teach yesterday, and I thought it would be good to make a note of it. It was about energy exchange.  One of the things that we as human beings do weather we know it, or not is exchange energy through our energy fields. Our energy fields are lot larger than our body and they tend to fan out around as as we go about our day. Some people may be able to see the energy, and would call it the aura.

What I find fascinating is that when our energy bumps up against another human we get signals that we call our gut feeling, or our intuition. My guides explained to me how it all worked one day when I was complaining about someone's energy years ago. I was told that the person I was with didn't match up with mine, and I could feel it through my own energy field. Then I got an image of an example of what they meant.  I was shown a bunch of hearts, and squares which represented the other person's energy. Then I was shown a lot of triangles, and octagons that was supposed to represent me. "Okay", I thought out loud. Next both patterns were merged together showing me that they didn't quite fit. It all felt very jumbled, and different.

The next example I was given was an image of someone who had the same energy pattern that I did, and when the energies mixed together I got a feeling of complete ease. In that experience I already knew what this energy felt like, and it felt comfortable to be in. The last example that I was shown was someone who had half of my pattern, and the energy patterns merging together. The feeling I got was that something was off, but was unsure what it was.....

The guides came in later to explain that this was just a little example of how it all works. I was then reminded that energy patterns are a lot more complicated than what I was shown. Energy patterns exist in the aura field which hold recordings of  life experiences. They can be recordings, and experiences of what we are moving in and out of our lives in that moment. They can be recordings where we have taped over them with a new learning experience where we change the pattern. We all carry it in our fields. It is when we bump up against each other that we feel, or have those moments of deciding if it is a close match, a real match, or if we need to move on.

The other thing that I was able to share with my students yesterday in our Reiki class was that we may feel the energy in different places of our body. For me when I was first learning I would get sensations in my arms. If someone's energy didn't fit well with my energy I would get a sticky sensation like someone poured syrup on my arms. If I was in a situation where I felt fear in the room my arms would prickle like they were on alert. Other times when I was in someone's energy field who had lots of joy, love, and acceptance I felt a nice, bubbly feeling running up, and down my arms. These were all physical ques that I got when I picked up someone's else's energy when we were in a room together.

Again, we are all so different so one person's way of feeling, or picking up something is unique to them although we may find others that have some of the same energy patterns, and share the same sensations. There is no right, or wrong way to feel, or pick up the patterns. There is no one way that is better than the other. It is what it is, and it is unique. The trick is to be aware how you pick up energy patterns.

Balance of the Ego

I know that many people talk about egos, and there have been books written about it. We all know that a healthy ego is one that we want to have in our own lives, but then there are those experiences where we find that the ego comes out like a mother bear protecting her cub.

As an artist I look at things from many different directions, and when I talk to people I try to see things from their view point along with my own. I have to admit if there is an emotional trigger I am likely to see their viewpoint later on after an encounter. I know that many have had that experience as the thoughts will run through the mind like, "I should have said this, or maybe I should have reacted this way instead of that way". The word should is the key to this line of thinking.

As human beings we are always in situations were the ego is tested unless we remove ourselves from society. Somehow I don't think, or believe that is the answer. What I have found is that we all play those parts of being teachers even when we aren't conscious of it. From both sides we play the parts of the character like the little boy named "Dennis the Menace" who pushes buttons to watch people's heads spin around. From one view point it is all about what the reaction will be or what will happen to us if we do. Another angle could be a wound that was reflected back causing the buttons to be pushed in a response.

On the other side I find that when we look emotional triggers whatever they may be as that part of us that is somehow being mirrored back in our own egos. When we react to something that has such a strong emotional attachment within ourselves then that is when we need to look at the wound that is being prodded causing the ego to respond. If we are in that state of grace where we are in balance with our ego then the emotional reaction is not going to react. Then I have to wonder if we are looking for healing within ourselves that is that state of grace where we are learning, and grateful for each other in our lives that help us to work on ourselves. Again it is all about learning who we are and all about finding how we tick.

The Habit of Stress

One of the things that I have noticed as I have been talking to others is that most people seem to be a little stressed with their everyday lives. I know I have in my own life that is why I have been asking around wondering what other people are doing about their stress. I must admit that I have been surprised about some of the things that I have seen as people shared with me. Someone that I know is so stressed that it has affected his eyes. Another person that I talked to has trouble sleeping and found out that it is because the stress has started to burn out her adrenal glands. A dear friend of mine is gaining weight because she eats when she is stressed. Other people that I know are either taking something for it or trying their best to relax when they can so that the stress doesn't make them edgy when they are with their families and loved ones.

In some cases people are so stressed out that it begins to take a toll on the physical bodies. Examples like clenching our teeth at night causing a shift in the bite changing the way our teeth are set. We age quicker, we become sexually inactive, and we become sick as the stress affects our organs. Stress even causes emotional blocks which turn on us and block the natural flow of energy that is meant to rejuvenate our physical bodies. We can't think and feel that we are walking around in a fog.

As I thought about it I wondered to if we as human beings can become addicted to stress or was it more of a habit? If we live within a world that is always saturated with stress then what would happen if somehow we woke up, and noticed that it was gone. What would happen then? Would we look for things that start the adrenaline going so that we have that edge that we need everyday to get that jolt like a cup of coffee? Would we wonder what it was like to be in a world of peace, but become board? I was just wondering if we can change our lifestyles, and change our eating habits along with what we think about would we find that we miss the stress in our lives, and began to look for it again? I know this thought sounds crazy, but as I look around I find that in a world of traffic, and deadlines we seem to be living in a world that seems to somehow perpetuate promoting stress in our lives.

Then as I was sitting in traffic I realized that the only one who could change things in my own life was me, and I was in the drivers seat. I was the one who allowed the stress in my own life, and I was the one who could make the rules in my life that would eliminate stress. One of the things that I needed to think about was allowing myself to let go of the things that stress me out, and to be aware of any triggers that would trigger it. Just by being aware more of what I am feeling, and what makes me stressed gives me options of what I can do to handle it, and let it go. I knew to that holding it in my body to deal with it later was not a good idea, or to live in it for hours was only making me unhealthy. It was time to step into my own personal power, and own it. Sounds easy, but not really. It is amazing how I discovered in my own life that the auto pilot in my body could take over in some situations, and I would move back into wool gathering. Now, I knew I was acting out of an old habit, and it is time to break the pattern.

The Transfer of Cancer

Something came to me today as I was driving down the road to visit a friend. As I was exiting off the highway a memory of my mother telling me that she thought cancer could be contagious. The reason was that my grandmother, her mother who was nurse had noticed that a lot of her friends who were nursing in the cancer ward had died of cancer.

I have a dear and wonderful friend who is also a nurse. One of her biggest hurts in life is losing some of her dearest nursing friends to cancer who also cared for those who have cancer. As I was driving I was wondering why this was happening when we know that cancer is not contagious. When I asked this the answer formed in my head that the reason that people who are caring for people who have cancer often get cancer themselves is because it all starts on an energetic level.

I was quickly reminded that we are not only physical beings but are also made up of energy and atoms that move in sequence making up everything in the world as we know it. Then I was shown that when we come into contact with each other we merge our auras or spirit bodies together sharing information about each other on an energetic level. If we have strong auras and energy bodies then there is no reason to worry about it. But if we become tired or beaten down then this weakens the energy bodies allowing information to flow in and settle.

It is when we come into contact with someone's information everyday or a program that is in someone else's energy such as cancer with a weakened energy body then there is a chance that we can subconsciously mistake that as our own program if it gets played enough in our energy fields. This information that plays such as a program like cancer then transfers to the physical body and settles into certain parts of the body that are the weakest. Therefore cancer is not contagious but it is transferable. The way to stop a program of information transfer is to clear and cleanse the energy fields each day.

Memory Patterns

As I was talking to a friend about memory patterns and triggers I remembered a story that would help her understand what I was trying to say.  My friend had been dealing with an emotional pattern in her life that kept being triggered at a certain time of year. I was explaining that the same thing had happened to me years ago but if she didn't resolve it then the pattern would move from the emotional body into the physical body.

I told her that in my late twenties that I started to have a series of operations which seemed to happen consecutively every year for a number of years. Each year I would collapse with excruciating pain and then have to be rushed into the emergency room. The Doctors would look only to find that there were physical things happening to my body and then having to operate. My husband and I would then rejoice that the crisis was taken care of and continue with our lives until the next year. Then the pattern would cycle all over, and I would end up in the emergency room again. After about five years of this I was talking to my mother on the phone when she brought up that this seemed to be a pattern. I didn't understand why she would say such a thing since I seemed to have no control over collapsing, and writhing in pain.  Then she told me that she had been keeping a record on her yearly calendars of when this would happen and when I would be rushed in for an operation.

She explained that she had discovered it quite by accident. It all happened when she was transferring birthdays from one calendar to another, and came across the dates of my emergency operations. Then she started to look at calendars from other years, and noticed that every year around the end of April on a certain date I would have an attack like clockwork. At the time I thought she was making it all up, and went over to her house to look at the calendars. It was true the dates were all the same. I still didn't want to believe it so I went home, and looked into our personal records of admittance, and bills checking all the dates which correlated with what my mother had told me. It was crazy! It was then when I decided that this cycle had to stop. That all happened during the fall, and so when spring arrived I was prepared to deal with whatever was around the corner. April came, and went. It came, and went the next year, and the next without any hiccups.

It was many years later when I was studying energy patterns, and how memory patterns affect the body that I understood what had happened. Somewhere in my subconscious mind I had suffered an emotional trauma that was never dealt with. From what I gathered the trauma had happened to me during that time of the year, and had been lost in my memory. So my body as a defense each year would replay the trauma recognizing that time of year as a trigger. My part was to acknowledge that something had happened to me which allowed the emotional energy that was stuck in my body to release. The strange part is that I never remembered what it was that had happened to me, but I was able to convince myself that I was okay when that particular date on the calendar came around. Once I established I was safe the pattern broke, and there were no more operations.

I explained this to my friend. I also told her that from my own experience it is okay not to remember, but it is really important to change the broken pattern with positive reassurance, and affirmations that things have changed. Somehow if the mind gets this then the body starts to follow. One of my teachers used to tell me that things get stuck out in the energy fields of our bodies then work their way into the mind, and physical body. What I see that is really cool is........ that we have the power to change things by just being aware.

Imprints

Something that I wanted to bring up is the subtle way human beings can connect with each other. When I say that I mean more than just sharing our thoughts, feelings or even having physical contact. As human beings each of us have the ability to pick up on each others emotions or even feel what another person is going through.

What is amazing to me is that we can pick up on those that we care about even hundreds of miles away. My Grandmother shared a story with me which happened during WWII about such a connection. At that time  she was living in California and my grandfather was stationed over seas. She said that during that time they would have blackouts where everyone turned off their lights and went in doors so that if they were invaded the planes couldn't see the town as clearly.

It was during one of the blackouts that something happened that really scared my grandmother as she gather the children, my mom and uncle into the house. She told me that while she was going through it fear had really gripped her and she was desperately wanting my grandfather to be there in that moment.  She and the children made it though the night and the week.

Weeks later my grandmother received a letter that was from my grandpa. She said that when she opened the letter she couldn't help crying. In it my grandpa said that he didn't know what was happening to her in that moment but he felt very compelled to wake up and get out of his bunk to write her. He wanted to let her know that he was thinking of her and could feel her heavy distress. He went on to encourage her and to let her know how proud he was of her and their family. He also wanted her to know he felt bad that he couldn't be there in her time of need but he was there as he could feel her fear while writing the letter.

As my grandmother was telling me this story tears were rolling down her cheek and she was chocking on the words as she shared the last part with me. My grandpa had written down the time and the date so she would know when he wrote the letter.  With huge tears in her eyes she said that it was the exact date and the time  matched up to what it was on this side of the sea of when she was going through those big emotions of fear.

My grandma passed away in 2008 but I hold the memory of that story in my heart. As I learn more about relationships and the way we all interconnect I understand that not only do we have the capacity to feel those that we love but everyone we come into contact with. Then the thought was that if we as human beings were conscious of the emotional  messages we were sending out with our imprints then we could really change things. What I mean is that our connection to each other is a lot more powerful than I think we even realize.

Beginning and End

Years ago I was sitting in a class that my fire walker friend Daniel D'Neuville was teaching when he asked everyone, "Where does the universe begin and end?"  At the time I thought that was a very strange question as it made no sense to me. Then as I sat there, and pondered I saw this swirl of planets out in the universe, but again it didn't add up. Daniel our teacher then just waited for all of us to contemplate on the question, but the answers in my head were all leading me to a dead end.

It wasn't until I got tired of the question, and my mind rested on where I was setting that the answer hit me! "Of course it's inside of me!" Then I realized that it is not only in me, but in every living being. A flash of me when I was a child realizing that one day I would die, and the sun, and the earth would go on without me. The sun would still rise, and the moon will still shine, but I would no longer walk this earth. The universe from my own perspective, and with everyone else starts within our own experience that we are aware of.

Then Daniel after awhile said to the group,"The answer is it starts, and ends from exactly where you are". I have to admit that it made me smile as it made sense.

Shadow People

In tribute to Sage

Have you ever felt like you were living in the shadow of someone else? It might be a boss, a family member or a dear friend. It is not something that you may really even be conscious of but your whole life revolves around this person.  Then the aftermath sets in with resentment, anger or even grief when the other person demands more and more of your personal time and essence.

The reason I am bringing this up is that this morning when I awoke and was thinking about opening my eyes I was immediately hit with a clear image of people in my life including myself who are following this emotional pattern. As I lay there watching the dream the list seemed to go on endlessly. The whole thing continued to play out through a thread of relationships moving past people that I knew. What came next was a feeling of confusion even with my own life wondering why such an emotional pattern was so prevalent. About that time my husband was waking up and I told him what I was seeing and that I felt that there was a pattern programmed within most people to sacrifice themselves to their own detriment.  My husband replied that, "Most people don't realize that everyone has a bright light within themselves and it is important that we all recognize it and do our best to show it."

It wasn't until later this morning when I was washing dishes and visiting with my teacher Silver Feather that I understood that this pattern was something that comes about quite innocently.  Again, I was reminded that each of us are apart of the woven fabric of our Creator and that we were all created out of light. I also understood that we sometimes hide our light for whatever reasons. And it is because of this that we find others who show their brightness which is attractive as we end up vicariously living through them.  The whole lesson today was about recognizing the pattern and working on remembering and bringing forth the light and brightness from within so that we don't drain others or feel that our light doesn't matter.  As I finished up the dishes I asked Silver Feather what to call this. In which she replied, "They are the people of the shadows. They are the Shadow People both in the physical plane and on the other side."

The Human Experience

A few months ago someone asked, "What does the soul crave the most" as we were talking about healing? I remember sitting there moving around in my chair wondering out of the whole universe what was it that every soul wants?.....Think about it. It is not something you hear every day. Then with a big smile they said, "Drama".

"What!" I was thinking what does drama have to do with anything that we are talking about. It's not possible that we as these beautiful beings want drama in our lives. Then as I sat there I saw how much we love drama... Look at our lives. We love to hear what is going on with others whether it is in movies or the next door neighbour we want to know. "Inquiring minds want to know"....

We want to see, feel, know or experience it if not through second hand but through our own lives. Granted the sting is not as harsh when it is second hand but we still manage to add our experiences and feelings into the equation.

Those T-shirts with the message that was so popular a few years ago with the expression "Drama Mama" or "Drama King" are just a little example of what we look for in our own lives. We wear it like a badge of honour.

It is meshed in our culture like the news, movies, music, books, talk shows even in our own lives when we react to something or someone creating an emotional stir within ourselves and others. What an amazing teaching tool it is and yet we become addicted to it. We can't wait to see the next episode or hear the next load of gossip in someone else's lives or even our own. We fixate on it and hold close to us.

I began to realise that what goes hand in hand with drama is the judgement along with all the emotions that flood in like a drug. Wow! how intoxicating is that? But it is the drama in our lives that teaches us the most and it is when we learn not to be emotionally tide to it and that we are in control of our own emotions that we become the master of our own lives.

It is when we can look at another person and not judge them as they move through their own drama and not being caught up in it that we learn that we are standing in a personal power that allows us to be there for the other person. I am not saying not to be sensitive to what the other person is experiencing but I am saying not to be in the middle of it adding to the situation. It is about us moving in the experience free from judgement and just allowing that other person to just feel what it is like to be in that moment so that we can all grow.

Ana

Healing from Within

One of the things that I remember about my Father is that he would tell me over and over to be careful of my words and thoughts. As I was growing up he said this a lot and would have me be re mindful of how I expressed myself. This was a process of stopping me in mid sentence and rephrasing what had just tumbled out of my mouth. Oh .... These memories were not my happiest memories and as soon as I was old able to be out of ear shot I spoke the way I wanted....

That was 30 years ago and now looking back I see the wisdom in what he was trying to teach me. You see in my studies and in my learning about the world of cellar healing. I understand that the world and the things in it respond to our words and our energy. It is amazing to see the studies on water and our own blood responding to the tones and our intentions with our words. Yes, I know we see this with animals and children but did you know that your own bodies respond to your thoughts? Not only does the body respond but the cells that make up the network and inner workings of the body.

Wow, I guess Dad was right as our cells respond to the emotions that carry waves of energy though out our whole inner workings changing the chemistry of our physical bodies.
