"The Eyes"

This week I have had some very interesting conversations with various people and one of those conversations happened to be on the subject of eyes. What spurred the conversation was that they had heard from the eye doctor that there was really no treatment for glaucoma. This remark triggered a memory of someone I knew who had healed their eyes through energy work. Now it was a little different as that person was working on healing their eyesight because they didn't want to wear glasses, but if it worked with wearing glasses why not with glaucoma. As an energy practitioner myself I knew that all things are created out of energy and that even our physical forms can be broken down into energy patterns, so why not. I then told the story...

Years ago when I was working at the Acupuncture Clinic in Fort Worth I met a women who was studying at the time to be a Qigong master. She knew the woman who ran the clinic so she started to teach Qigong classes there. One evening after one of her classes we had time to visit and that is when she confided to me that she was working on healing her eyesight. She admitted that she wasn't fond of wearing glasses and through energy work she knew that she could heal her vision. This was something that never even entered my mind even though I wear contacts. I am fine with my contacts but was truly fascinated by her story and the eye exorcises that she did. She was really dedicated to the cause.

A few months later I ran into her again when she was there for a class. I worked days and her classes were in the evenings so I just happened to be working late that evening when I saw her. Of course I was highly curious about her eyes and had to ask how she was doing. She was excited to report that her eyesight had improved so much that the eye doctor wasn't sure if he hadn't misdiagnose her vision. We both enjoyed a good chuckle. As fate would have it I didn't see her again until a year later. I ended up taking time off to write a book and so when I saw her at a social event I had to ask again about her eyes. When I did she smiled really big and let me know her vision had improved to almost 20/20. It was amazing!

After I told my story to the person who told me about the glaucoma. I had to say that from my own experience I knew someone that healed themselves and that through energy work they could possible do the same. However I did want them to know that I wasn't the person to help them but that there were Qigong master teachers out there who taught techniques for healing the eyes and that she could look up and find help..

If you are interested... below are a few websites that I found that do techniques for healing the eyes.

"The Stone People"

My love for stones started very early in life. My mother used to tell the story of when I was a toddler and would sit out in the driveway putting stones in my mouth. People would ask her if she was afraid that I would swallow them but she said that I never did, so she didn't think it would do any harm to let me do it. Years later I used to join my father in Taos, New Mexico where he had an art gallery and would set up his tepee for the summer. When I was there I would help him gather stones for the fireplace and sit around the fire in the evening listening to him tell stories. Some of his stories were about the stone people reminding me to have respect for all things.

I always enjoyed my dad's stories but I used to think that he was making it all up until I was in my early thirties and was sitting in the living room one day knitting. On that one particular day I was feeling so happy and full of love that I ended up shooting out of my body from the top of my head and merged into a brilliant bright light of pure consciousness. Any worries that I had at the time dropped to the floor like discarded clothing. From there high above my physical form I could see and experience everything around me and in me made out of complete unconditional love. I was fully aware at that time that everything in the room and anything that existed was made up of one consciousnesses. I also understood that I was only a tiny speck connected to it all and so was everything beyond what I could imagine. Even what I thought were empty spaces held this one consciousnesses as the tiny particles that made up the air were a part of it, as nothing was separated from it.

In that moment of full awareness my attention fell upon the rocks that I had collected sitting on my fireplace. Immediately I recognized they were a part of that same consciousness and I could see the tiny atoms bumping around in different sequences making up the physical form of the energy that held them together. I knew in that moment that my father had been right all along and that he was not just telling stories. After that experience I started to become sensitive to energy patterns and of course one of the things that drew my attention were stones. As I worked with them as an artist I could also see how the different energy patterns of stones affected the subtle energy bodies. Later on as an energy practitioner I also learned that we were attracted to the various stones according to what we needed in our energy fields. An analogy of this is when our body has a food craving and we seek a particular kind of food as our body needs certain nutrients from it.

Since matter is also made up of an ethereal substance the atoms and subtle energy in our bodies can also become out of balanced like our physical forms causing us to be attracted to things in our lives that we crave to help us find balance. This is not to be mixed up with the mind following the ego but the feeling we get when we actually hold a stone in our hands feeling it's energy as that is the energy pattern we are seeking to help us balance our energy fields. Our energy fields finds the atomic pattern and copies that into our field making us feel that feeling of peace as it rebalances itself.

Now, I do want to make a note: That I am not going to say that I don't love stones and gemstones because of their looks and sparkle... but there is also a feeling of balance that moves through the soul that has nothing to do with looks which is very much a part of our own energy make up. The other point was something my father used to say which was that, "The stone people like everything else in the physical world are only there for us as teachers, the rest is up to us."

To learn more about stones and their energy I would recommend...

"Our Heart's Desire"

This past Friday I went to visit some of my artist friends who are showing their work at the Main Street Art festive in Fort Worth, TX this weekend. As I was looking around one of the artists who I met last year came up to me and started to talk about a conversation we had and how much it had affected him. He then went on to say that it was about the power of what we say and how it was connected to our heart's desire that made the real difference. As I listened to him it was nice to have that subject echoed back to me as my own soul needed to hear what we had talked about because of the changes that I am thinking of making in my own life.

He told me that after our conversation he decided to make the conscious effort to look at what he really wanted in life and how it was connected to what he really was feeling, thinking, and saying. He said that by being aware of matching the energy that he was putting out to his heart's desire, his whole life made a dramatic shift. He was then able to manifest what he wanted as it all seemed to quickly drop into his life.

As I walked away later after visiting for awhile I thought about my dad who liked to give lectures on the power of our own words and what we said spilled out the inner struggles inside of us. Often we don't even realize that our words don't match up to what we want in our lives therefore releasing into the universe that we are not ready to create what we want. If energy follows thought then we are only canceling out what we want to manifest. After leaving I decided to file it away in my memory bank to return to it when I had more time to work on myself as I felt like this was something worth revisiting.

Saturday evening after having a lovely dinner out with my family we decided to go to the bookstore as a treat as we all love to read. My attention was immediately drawn to a book called Magnetizing Your Hearts Desire, by Sharon A Warren M.A. Laughing at the coincidence I picked it up and thumbed through the pages thinking that if something like that dropped into your lap it might be the universe trying to bring it to your attention on some level. Still thinking that it was funny I thumbed through the book only to read a few pages realizing that I felt an energy resonating inside me almost pulling me in to read it. Listening to that feeling I made the connection that something was really going on with me so I picked it up along with a novel and went to find the rest of my family which had scattered throughout the bookstore.

Later in the evening I started to read the book and discovered that not only did it talk about the subject of changing our thoughts, feelings and words but also how to use magnets to demonstrate how the concept of attracting what we want and how it was repelled. I thought using the magnets was an ingenious idea as it physically helps to understand the whole idea of lining it all up. As I read on I again became aware of a physical tugging inside of my energy field as if wanting to match up with some of the changes I was still thinking of making in my own life. It felt a lot like what I felt in the bookstore when I picked up the book. I then realized that it was time to make those changes and then gave thanks for being shown that I needed to pay closer attention.

"The Robe"

I had an interesting thing happen to me a few nights ago. This past week we have been enjoying our time visiting our family for the holidays in California. A few nights ago I woke up in a cold sweat from a nightmare not knowing where I was and as I started to catch my bearings I felt my heart pounding away. I thought about the dream trying to calm myself down telling myself it was only a dream and I was safe. The dream itself was a lot like being in one of those zombie movies. I don't watch zombie movies because they do tend to give me nightmares and this particular dream had me really upset.

To help calm down I decided to get up and get a drink of water thinking it might distract me from the images and feelings that I felt still reeling inside my body. As I continued to try to get a hold of myself I saw my old robe that I love so much draped over a chair in the room. Instantly feeling a need to pick it up I wrapped myself in it and immediately felt my heart slow down as a warm feeling of being safe rushed though my body. At the time I did think it was strange how quickly my heart changed over to a normal beat when I did this. I then felt myself start to relax into the familiar soft fabric of the old robe and laid back down with no trouble of falling into a peaceful sleep. I had no more nightmares though the rest of the night.

Later the next day I thought about what had happened and wondered why when as soon as I put on my favorite robe my heart stopped pounding. When I looked back I could see that the old robe was not just a symbol in my life for being safe but when I wore it I was happy as I padded around the house working on my art, playing with the pets, or hanging out with the family. This beautiful energy had woven itself into the very fiber of the fabric with the precious moments of being content at home. That energy was what I felt that night when I was upset when I placed the robe on.

Now I know now what children feel like when they feel safe when they have their special blanket or the old toy that they loved until it is ratted and falling apart. When you really look at, it isn't the tangible item itself but all the loving energy that is trapped and held within it.

Energy Maintenance

Have you ever had that feeling when you are around certain people in your life you feel a little drained? In the past I used to just blow it off but later as I learned more about the energy centers in and around the human body it all began to make a lot more sense. One thing is for certain it is not a subject that is covered in our schools but it is as common as the physiology of the human anatomy. You see being both spirit and physical beings we have both to contend with in our lives and when we feel drained of energy which is not always due to the food we are eating or lack of sleep.

There are those articles that we might have come across about psychic vampires and I have to admit there is something to that. But what I wish to cover here is that we all have tendencies to be one. It really depends on our energy systems and how we maintain the flow. As social beings we can't help coming in contact with one another. Our natural ability is to exchange energy frequently and freely without giving it a second thought. It is a lot like breathing but when there is a kink in the system it causes us to become weak or vulnerable to others that need more energy to sustain their fields. This happens when we have energy blockages or tears in our energy fields that can be caused by emotional, mental, and physical stresses in our lives.

If we take a look at the way we were created we find there is a gentle balance between our energy bodies, and physical body. By maintaining our energy centers we are better able to sustain ourselves and the energy that moves through our physical bodies that gives us vitality and keeps us healthy. We also have the ability to help others that are in need of energy without being drained of our own energy supply. If you really think about it energy is not limited and comes in an endless supply. It is only when we break down and can't process the energy through our energy centers that causes a problem. That is when we become vulnerable and don't have the capacity to keep ourselves going not to mention others who we come into contact that may need our help. In which case it is an excellent reminder in alerting us to the fact that we may need help ourselves when others are draining us and we are draining others.

What is interesting is that so many of us are completely unaware that we draining the energy of others since there is no intention of doing such acts on purpose. What we do find is that so often we are naturally attracted to those individuals in our lives that help us feel good when we are in their presence. This is a very normal process but the key is to notice if we are draining those that we enjoy being around. The good news is that this is a dilemma that can be fixed if we focus on the problem and not blame others or brush it off. We are designed to naturally balance the energy of both the physical and spiritual worlds. We have it in us to repair our energy fields just like we have the ability to heal from a wound.

In the physical world we live in we have learned how to exercise and keep our physical bodies in shape with a proper diet but most of us have forgotten the other half of ourselves which is just as important. What we are now learning is that we need to treat the whole person and not just one part of the person. As we continue to become more aware of ourselves we are discovering that it is important to pay closer attention to the maintenance of our own energy centers and our energy fields. One thing is for certain is that you don't have to go to a energy practitioner to get back in balance, you have the capability to learn how to do this yourself but if you feel the need for help then you can find an energy practitioner that can help get you started. Examples of this would be Acupuncture, Reiki, Meditation, Massage therapist, Tuning forks, Singing bowls, Yoga, Tai-Chi, Qigong, Toning, etc... Just keep in mind that you are perfectly able to do your own self maintenance if you find a technique that works best for you.

The Subtle Energies

Several years ago when I was working at an acupuncture clinic I not only had the opportunity to learn about energy medicine but really got to see first hand how all of it worked together. Not only did l discover how meridians ran like little highways inside the body but I was also delighted to be introduced to the Subtle Body energies that surround the physical body. Once again I found myself excited to learn that there is so much more to being a human-being than what we really think we know.

The reason I bring this up is that I had a rather interesting experience last week. Before I go into it I just want to mention a few things about the subtle bodies for background information. All of the subtle bodies encircle the physical body in different layers like an onion. Each one of the subtle bodies are like a Chakra and has a purpose and function that not only affects us on a mental level but also affects the physical body itself. What I found intriguing was that illness could often be detected in the subtle bodies by a skilled practitioner and when it was not treated or settled on its own it would manifest itself in the physical body.

So now with this very tiny amount of information about Energy medicine it may give you the idea of what I am writing about. It all started when I was exposed to the flu and at the time I took no notice of it. That week I just happened to be under a deadline for a particular project so most of my attention and effort was focused on making my deadline. Doing errands and visiting people all the time I am exposed to a lot of things so it took me quite by surprise when this time it was different.

What I did notice during the week was that my pets at home would look at me as if they were concerned. They would watch me as if they were seeing past me into my energy field of the subtle bodies or aura. Then they would change some of their daily routines to come and lay on me. Later I went to the grocery store and noticed a women being strange. When I asked her if she knew where something was she kept looking as if she was seeing something above me. The same thing happened at the dry cleaners. I did think it was odd but thought I was imagining it and brushed it aside keeping my focus on my task.

It wasn't until a week to the day after being exposed, in the middle of the afternoon, that I got chilled and then realized I had all the symptoms of the flu. The doctor confirmed it the next day. As I was recovering I reflected on what I had missed during the week remembering our pets and the people I ran into. Now that I am over it the pets went back to their normal routines and look directly at me when they want something or if I am speaking to them. But I also started to thinking about some of the people who I came in contact with. I wondered if they were aware on a conscious or even subconscious level in detecting that I was carrying the flu in my energy field or even in my body when I felt perfectly fine.

What I have come to understand is that each of us is very capable of picking up on other people's energy but many of us have forgotten or don't use it as we are occupied with our physical lives. (Myself included) On the other hand most people will agree that animals have this ability but my thought was this... as human beings it would seem that it would save a lot of time, money, and effort if we all remembered how and used it. For me it was another life lesson as I missed my deadline......

"Lavender Oil"

In 2010 I had been organizing and hosting a Healing Circle in Arlington, TX for several years so when I was asked to set up and organize a Healing Circle at a local Acupuncture clinic in Fort Worth, TX, I couldn't help being excited in expanding the Circle to another venue. The premise of the Circle was to invite various holistic teachers and healers to speak to the groups that gathered once a month informing them about the different healing modalities that were available. This included essential oils, energy medicine, healing colors, Reiki, massage, music therapy, sound healing, prayer etc...

It was at one of these Healing Circles that I had the honor of making the acquaintance with a women named Carol through a mutual friend who organized and put together the Healing Arts program at one of the local hospitals in Fort Worth, TX. The program was a way of using both western and holistic medicine that complimented each other in helping with the healing process.

Carol was a nurse and one of her specialties in the Healing Arts program was working with the patients using essential oils as a compliment to their stay at the hospital. She came to speak at one of the Healing Circles and her subject that evening was on Lavender Oil. What I remember that really stood out about Lavender oil was using it on burns. This information would become very crucial in my life when I had an emergency later on down the road.

A few years later I was hosting a family get-together at our home in Arlington and had just made a pot of tea on our electric stove in the kitchen when my sister-in-law who was keeping me company and was telling me a story placed the palm of her hand down on the hot stove. I have to say that both of us were shocked and I grabbed her hand and took her to the sink instantly running cold water on it. I then ran to the bathroom remembering the Lavender oil and the talk that Carol did at the Healing Circle. Grabbing the oil I took her hand and drenched it in the essential oil. Then we used ice cubes on her hand to help numb the pain. Not sure what else to do we talked about the lavender oil and what I had learned at the Circle that Carol had spoken at.

My sister-in-law called me the next day and told me that she didn't have any pain and the skin on her hand was not coming off or even marred. I still was in shock about the whole thing but it wasn't until a few months later when my son had made a pizza and left the hot pan on the stove that I found out just how well the lavender oil worked first hand. ( No pun intended) I came in that day and saw the pan not knowing that it was hot and picked it up only to drop it on the floor burning my fingers. Again I ran for the lavender oil. I used the cool water to sooth the pain and then placed the oil on my burnt fingers. I then used ice cubes to help with the pain. It was painful but the next day I looked at my fingers thinking they would blister up but the skin was good. The pads on the fingers were as if I hadn't burned myself. It was crazy!

I ended up calling Carol and talking to her about the oil as I wanted to know a little more about it. She explained that there were two different kinds of lavender plants that the Lavender oil was made out of for different uses. She warned me to be careful on which one I was using because it could be bad if I used the wrong one. She gave me the names of the different plants but I couldn't remember them when I got off the phone as they were long names and I didn't write them down. However I did know that the Lavender oil I used worked. So now I only buy the two brands that I know worked for me.

When I tell people about those experiences I warn people that there are two different kinds of lavender plants and they might want to "Google" it if they wanted to know more. For me I use the "Young Living" Lavender essential Oil and the other brand I keep on hand is "Aura Cacia." I found out later that Carol was invited to speak in Japan about the essential oils she uses for the Healing Arts program at the hospital. She still works with the Healing Arts program at the hospital in Fort Worth, TX, even today.

"The Pill"

Awhile ago, it was pouring down rain and I was frantically hurrying because I was late in meeting my good friend for lunch. Since I was in such a hurry, I got in the wrong lane and had to drive around the block which made me even later, since I had to wait again for the light to change.

As I rushed in the door, I saw my friend who smiled and waved. Of course, I immediately apologized and quickly sat down feeling as if my day was already starting out to be a little off. As she looked at my face she said that she was having one of those days to and shared with me an experience that made her feel rather out of line with the things that were going on around her. Then she ended her story with, "And so I guess I took my pill".

"Pill", I said "What Pill"? "Oh", "didn't I tell you?" She said..... " I took my stupid pill." "Your what?" "My stupid pill", she said. "I take it sometimes without thinking and when I am doing something really dumb, I realize that I took my stupid pill."

Of course this brought on some amazing stories of pain, suffering, being frightened and crazy events along with enormous amounts of laughter as we reminisced over our lives and taking that pill.

I guess it was later, in the afternoon as we walked out back out onto the rainy street that I realized how wonderful it was to know that there was a pill, that we all take in life. And even if it was painful at the time, we could look back and laugh.....

"The Power of our Beliefs"

When I was in first grade the teacher pulled me aside during one of our reading groups and started to have me tested. It wasn't until I had graduated from college and was towards the end of my second degree that one of my professors recognized that I was dyslexic. The irony was that I was getting a teaching degree in reading and speech. When I look back I see that even though I was pulled out of class I didn't believe that I had a reading problem. You see, I loved to read and I read many novels for sheer pleasure. In class I was the one who always answered the questions and scored high in comprehension. I finished my work early so I could catch up on my latest book. I wrote short stories and poetry even with the spelling problems.

Looking back I laugh now as I never accepted that I had this handicap until that one day that it was pointed out by my professor as she showed me how it all worked. Since I was getting a teaching certificate in reading, learning about dyslexia was part of it. I had the privilege of being tested with flying colors of not one but many different types of dyslexia. This was at the time when the educational system was doing massive research on it and was starting to really implement programs in public schools. Heartbroken I went home to my husband thinking that something was wrong with me. I started to see flashbacks of times in class that made me work even harder to keep up with everyone else.

It wasn't until I started to study energy patterns later on in life that I found myself one day at the book store staring at the dreaded word search books. I remembered how word searches which were given to us as a fun activity in class and how they used to befuddled me. In that moment it dawned on me that I should be really good at them as all they really were, were patterns going in many different directions. I also had discovered later in life that I had a knack for patterns. I bought a word search book that would fit into my purse and decide that day it was time to try to crack the code.

I must say that the first few attempts brought back memories of frustration making me feel on the edge of failure. It wasn't until I was about to give up that I realized that I was trying to do the word search the way I was taught and the way most people look for words. One day I sat down and this time I took a step back where I could see the whole page. I then randomly picked out a word from the selection choosing only a few letters in the word that looked like a pattern. Looking down onto the whole puzzle that single combination of letters popped out of the page. Excited to see it I then looked for the rest of the word and circled it. I did the same for the next word and the next. It was fun as letter combinations jumped out at me wanting to be found. I had done it!

"What did I learn form this?," echoed in my mind as I heard my husband's words when I have been frustrated or discovered something. What I learned was that, "Sometimes the things in our life that we believe hold us back only have power if we believe it."

Side Note: I still love reading and just finished editing my first book.

"The Power of Love"

I had the honor of experiencing something very special as I was visiting someone. The person I was seeing was a cousin who is very handicapped and most everything in her life has to be done by someone else. She is completely dependent on another human being for her everyday life activities. Each time I see her she is smiling and happy unless she is sick.

Today was no different and as I was spending my time with her I looked around at the others in the room who were also in one way or another with the same existence. It was then that I became aware of the love that was being broadcast silently though out the room. As I let myself open to feel, I had the experience in my own heart of a feeling that was a pure joy.

Driving home I had to think about what had happened to me and what caused this amazing love in my heart. I thought about people who have children who are handicapped and often we think, "Oh, I am so sorry that you have a child like that and they have to endure that." But we have it wrong because these beautiful people have something much bigger to share with us than the average everyday problems.

As I remembered standing there with my heart open I could feel and see the love that moved around the room. Each of the ladies who were there had a love that surrounded them in what they were doing as they facilitate the group. My cousin and her friends were enjoying each others company and the love for each other was so thick you could cut it with a knife.

If you are not around that much love coming out of that many people then it can be a little like being tipsy. As I stumbled back to my car, I realized that something very special had just happened and I was very blessed by being a part of it.

"A Lesson on Abundance"

Throughout my life I have heard many say that they wanted abundance in their lives. From my own perspective I have also felt that it would be wonderful to have abundance in my own life. But what exactly is it that we are really calling into our lives? I say this because it was a spiritual teacher who brought this to my attention asking me that same question many years ago. Of course when I thought about it back then I wasn't sure what I really wanted only that the word abundance sounded good and all my friends were asking for it. If my friends were wanting it in their lives it must be something that I needed in my life?

Then my teacher said, "Ana, what is in your heart? Remember it is the energy frequency that is in your heart which sends out huge signals to the Universe matching up those experiences that vibrate on the same frequency into your life. For example if you are in a high frequency and love is resonating in your heart and you ask for abundance, you will have the opportunities to have those experiences where love is called into your life. Know that love can be experienced in many forms and may not be what you had in mind. What you are given are different ways to recognize love depending on what the soul is needing to learn about it. Another example is if you had a loss, your heart is already experiencing loss so when you ask for abundance you receive experiences where you continue to experience losses in your life. When asking for attracting abundance is not something to take lightly or even do without knowing what it is you want."

Side note: The heart is also known as the "Seat of the Soul".

After talking to the teacher I started to recognize the symmetry between my personal energy, thoughts and what influenced my own heart. I also began to notice that I was sending out unconscious signals that were not always in alignment with my heart and what I thought I wanted in my life. This proved to be quite interesting as I began to to really question what it was, that I was actually sending out when I was asking for abundance. Then it all started to make a lot more sense as I realized that the connection that was being missed was the balance between the mind, body, and soul. I am not going to say that it was and is easy, as it is letting go of a lifetime of old beliefs but it does work.

Being human I find that I am not always conscious of balancing the mind, body and soul as I do like everyone else on the planet who gets distracted with the physical world. What I am working on is being a lot more conscious of the connection. However, I find that it is true that the heart has a the upper hand in what we are attracting into our lives and sometimes it really doesn't match up to what we think we need even when asking for abundance.

"The Attractions in Our Lives"

The law of attraction not only applies to the material things in our lives but also to the relationships in our lives. One thing for sure is that somehow we are never were given a handbook on how all of this works so it is up to us to fumble through trial and error as we stumble through the darkness, wondering if we have made the right choices in our lives. As I have travel through my own experiences I have had numerous opportunities to visit with others who are moving through their experiences finding out that they to have had to change directions, that they find themselves in.

One of the biggest set backs of this kind of experience is to blame others for the choices we have made in our own lives. This type of judgement only leads to depression or anger. It also creates illness within ourselves and keeps us in the same energy frequencies in attracting the same kind of experiences to us. This is a key factor in looking back at the situations and understanding that there were real lessons in our life experience that needed to be addressed before going on to a different kind of relationship.

Now you may have heard the phrases that,"Opposites attract or like attracts like". This may give you pause to wonder which is it? The truth is that we as multi-dimensional beings don't always fit in a tidy little box. We are operating on a way bigger system than what our human brains can sometimes fathom. So to answer the question the answer lies in what the soul is in need of in completing it's self at the time of the attraction.

As humans it can be really hard to look back on an experience that may have gone incredibly awry. It is only when we are at a point in our lives that we can revisit a situation where we can see that the soul during that time was in need of that particular experience. Now I want to make it clear that I am saying that anyone in their right mind would want to be in an abusive or destructive relationship. What I am pointing out is that relationships most certainly play a key role in that persons's personal soul's evolution and even though a person may not be aware of a cretin situation at the time it is something on a deeper level that the soul is attracted to for the experience.

Something to remember is that since we are energy beings. We have different levels of energy frequencies that attract different people and experiences into our lives. When we are in a relationship wither it is a family member, friend, lover, spruce, coworker, boss, acquaintance etc... and one person shifts without the other to a higher or lower frequency this will often leave the other person involved feeling uncomfortable creating friction within the relationship itself. If they make the shift together then there is harmony within the relationship. Again remembering we are multi-dimensional beings and there is a lot more going on than what we are often aware of.

An example of this is if a couple is in a situation where they are both involved, such as heavy drinking and then one stops, it changes the dynamics of the relationship. The same with any kind of change such as spiritual practices, money, drugs, sex, obsessions, depressions, illness, loss, etc... it all changes the energy of the couple and how they relate to each other in the relationship. If they both change as a mutual agreement and are able to make a change together they will continue to move on as a couple but if not, then eventually the relationship will split.

It is only when we are able to look back without being critical and see the lessons that were learned during that time where we really grow, on so many levels. This is where we are able to learn not be hard on our selves as there is no judgment in being right or wrong with the attraction. If the lesson is learned, it will empower us to recognize and quickly make better choices in what is being attracted into our lives as we shift into a new energy frequency that no longer attracts those kind of situations into our lives.

Personally, I like to use this phrase when I recognize a lesson that I no longer want to repeat ....
"Been there done that!"

"The Connection of the Mind, Body and Soul"

As I moved through my own life this week I found that I was highly aware that as we move into higher states of consciousnesses we begin to recognize how really important it is for the proper care of the mind, body, and soul. With this knowledge I had a strong understanding of the connections that what we think, eat and bring into our lives on a spiritual level all has a large influence on us and the world around us.

Now, I know there are many people who are already very much aware of this. It is only when we really look at the whole picture of being multi-dimensional beings or spontaneously having an experience that we can be reminded to take a step back. When we do this we began to notice the tremendous influence of this trio that is all apart of the natural learning curve in the evaluation of the soul's journey in transforming us into a higher state of awareness of our soul's purpose.

So when thinking about it the process itself ought to be relatively easy but even with this insight it often falls to the way side when we have to concentrate or even really focus on it which can somewhat blur the lines. Generally we are unaware of the three coming into union until we begin to shift in making a conservative effort to bring ourselves back together again. Often we can disconnect with any one or all of the three aspects of the trio that makes us whole when we are out living our daily lives.

As we begin to learn to observe ourselves in different areas of our lives we find that our thoughts, physical bodies and our spiritual connection combined play important roles in making us feel a sense of being united as a whole. This in itself makes us become more conscious of the connection not only to ourselves but to those incredible souls around us on all levels. When we make this shift we soon discover that we are not really separated from each other as we move through different experiences in our lifetimes but become more aware that we are all eventually reaching for the same goal.

By continuing to develop we see how important our thoughts are in influencing us in helping us to connect with others as well as our environment. We learn how our thought process in very crucial as we know that energy follows thought reminding us where we are putting our best efforts in and attracting experiences into our lives. It is when we are conscious of this that our minds began to expand opening new doors allowing us to see all different sides of our thought process that gives us more options in making better choices.

Then of course there are our bodies in which we understand more about how our they function, and survive in the physical world. Through our experiences each of us began to learn that there is more to us then just flesh, bone, and bodily fluids for now we have discovered the changes in our DNA, our diets and even the influence of the different regions which also impact the way we live and think. Our feelings of safety and health are important to all of us as it allows us to have the personal freedom to explore and understand more of how we function as a human being living on this planet.

Last but not least is the soul and the soul's journey. This is very important to our well being as we are continuing to evolve in learning the language of the soul through prayer, energy prayers and light languages. All of these forms of communication help us to align with our higher selves in connecting to God or what some may call the universal mind. By having this connection again we are reminded from where we originally came from and have that sense of being apart of something bigger then ourselves.

A while ago someone asked me out of the mind, body, and soul, which was most important to really focus on when working on self healing. The answer that came was all three of them because we are all three at once. One may call for more attention and that of course needs to be address first but it also is important to remember that the other two can be also out of balance. So by bringing the three back into harmony with each other allows us to locate the inner peace within us as we find comfort in the unity within ourselves.

"A Foot in Both Worlds"

I had a very interesting experience happen to me this past week. It happened while I was driving to the grocery store of all things. It was when I was in my car coming up to an intersection when all of a sudden I felt a slight shift and was deeply conscious that I really was a spirit being having a human experience. Now, I know the quote, "We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.” by Pierre Teilhard de Chardin.  I have even quoted this in the book I have written. This is not something new but in that moment it wasn't me seeing out of my human eyes in my own body. It was me seeing out of my spirit recognizing I was in a human body.

For a few brief seconds I was aware of more than just the routine drive to the grocery store and the tasks at hand. What I saw and understood on a much deeper level was well past my own life and even other people's lifetime experiences in their own physical bodies. In that moment I saw the connection of all the spiritual contracts with everyone in my own life and how we inner reacted with each other. I knew without question that this experience in this physical body was only a small amount of time as we would return back into our original forms of spirit in which that experience was massive in comparison of what we have experienced on this earth.

The analogy that came to my mind was like taking a trip to Europe and then returning back to our regular lives after the trip was over. This thought hit me as my brain tried to take over the whole experience in rationalizing and bringing into context of what was happening to me. As I sat there in my car I was aware that I was experiencing both the realities of the spiritual and physical worlds at one time. I could even feel my mind struggling to take back control of it's reality when again I felt a shift. When this happened I felt the whole experience began to slowly fade as a memory as I became more aware of driving to the grocery store with my grocery list still in my purse. By the time the light turned green for me to go I was well grounded in the physical world again but part of me was still in "awe" of the whole experience.

As I drove on I tried to put the whole experience behind me but knew if I ever wanted to go back to analyze what happened to me I could, if I really wanted to know more. One of the things that I have come to understand is that once you have an experience it seems to be imprinted in your memory. Today as I write the account of my experience I don't feel the need to question what happened. I know that what happened to me was very much real and that I am like everyone else on this planet a spirit being having a human experience.

Note:  I do not participate in recreational drugs to achieve these states.  They happen spontaneously.

"The Age of Aquarius"

We are living in the Aquarian age and like the song, "The Age of Aquarius" says all the planets have aligned themselves along with the rest of the universe creating a higher energy frequency that has arrived with it. This means that we are also experiencing the shift of the pendulum swinging from one direction into a more balanced state of consciousnesses. We are now transitioning from the patriarchal energy pattern into an awareness of the feminine energies around us. What does this mean you may ask? What it is about is that we as multi-dimensional beings have the advantage as human beings to experience the whole change on multiple levels as we learn to bring both energies back into balance within and around us.

To help illustrate this I also want to point out that the element for Aquarius is water. Water is one of those elements that has the ability to change it's form from solid to liquid and then into vapor. We as multi-dimensional beings are also made up of the physical body, mind and spirit. Just like water we are all three and have the ability to be all three at the same time during our life experiences.

One of our many advantageous is that as we become more aware of the changes around us we can be active in making conscious decisions in helping ease the tension in the shift for ourselves and others. As we experience ourselves and each other on various levels it stands to reason that by making those adjustments we learn to shape our own lives to a higher standard of living that make numerous changes that affect us all. This also means that holding on to old baggage and thinking patterns that no longer serves the highest good can hold us hostage and even create illness within our physical and mental forms if we decide not to let go.

As we move through this energy transformation our DNA is changing as the universe is speaking a new language. Even the atoms and molecules are affected. The analogy that comes to mind of this is like saying that the old energy is more like large rain drops and the new energy that is upon us is now a fine mist.

Our physical bodies, mind and spirit are making the adjustments whether we are conscious of it or not as we are all realigning with the new energy frequencies as a whole. As this shift continues to happen there is nothing to fear as it is only the evolution of the universe. The quote that comes to mind is the name of the song by R.E.M. that says... "It is the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine."

"Surviving the Holidays"

As we look back on the holiday season with our families we can count our many blessings and our time together. Then there is the other side of this which is merging the many different energy patterns from all of the family members during all the get-together sometimes making the being together a little uncomfortable. This is why I think that the movie studios continue making holiday family films about dysfunctional families gathering during this time of the year. If you are like me you may find yourself laughing at the movies of this sort as some of the situations seem to mirror some similar experiences.

Personally I find that holiday situations with family are some of the greatest opportunities to really learn about one's personal power. It doesn't mean exerting more power over another but learning how one maneuvers through tough situations when they come up. In those instances if one is aware, it is important to allow others to be who they are while still being in control of one's own personal passions and actions. I am not saying to relinquish one's power but to be conscious while standing back in observing all sides of a situation before making a commitment to any particular outcome. By doing this, helps in making wiser choices then being consumed in an emotional commitment and then trying to take over a situation because of the fear of losing power. I find that by looking at the whole picture and the different outcomes can help in discovering better solutions in merging energy patterns together making life more compatible for everyone involved.

Then there are those times that our well meaning may be taken out of perspective and of course it is always good to have another tool that can help in those situations. This is a healthy sense of humor which can be a great way to survive an intense situation that may pop up when you least expect it. Laughing or making a joke of it at the time may not be appropriate but allowing oneself to really see the humor in the a situation will help to ease some of the tension within one's own energy field. Often just by doing this opens up the energy fields breaking down some of the tension in the room even if the other person is not fully conscious of what is transpiring on an energetic level. It is in no way intended to manipulate others but to ease the energy so that the energy walls are not bumping up against each other causing friction. When the energy in the room settles down, it opens up a brand new slate for open communication to commence once again provided that the conversation doesn't intentionally lead down the same path.

When analyzing family spats or upsets as we all merge together during the holidays, it seems to be more about miss-communication and the different ways that we are all hard-wired in our own nuclear families.  What I find that is helpful is not making a commitment to any one outcome but learning how to even step out of my own comfort zone and trying something new. It is after all only for a few days or even weeks that we all get to be together. As I learn about my own discomforts I noticed that others are also learning about themselves and how they also match the puzzle pieces as we all merge together as a whole.

"Past the Five Senses"

The world we experience around us is not limited by the five senses. We as human beings have the capability to have some amazing experiences with the animals and world around us if we take just a little time to allow ourselves to connect. This is not a magic trick but being who we were created to be in living in harmony on the earth with the creatures, nature and each other.  There is so much more to us and our lives on this earth then we realize. Through my own experiences I have found that even the animals know our intentions and what we are about even if we don't.

When I was growing up, my parents had a working ranch in Presidio, TX with horses and cattle. My mom likes to tell a story about the time that she was in the kitchen and I was two years old and was playing with some toys around her feet. She says she was busy with what she was doing and lost sight of me for a few minutes which was enough time for me to toddle out the door. Instead of hanging out in the yard, I had headed for the pasture where we kept the horses. At the time my father had bought a palomino mare that he was breaking in to ride. He was still working on taming her as she was high spirited. When I got to her she was rolling in the dirt on her back. By the time my mom found me I had already crawled through the fence and walked up to the horse climbing on her belly.

My mom first said she was horrified of what she saw but then she realized that the horse had stopped moving and was laying perfectly still as I sat on top of her. The other horses had gathered around me and were nosing the mare and nibbling on me.  Instead of running out in panic mom said she carefully went out and called my name softly coaxing me out of the pasture. I did eventually slide off the mare and crawl back through the fence into my mother's arms.  The mare then stood up shaking the dust off then ran off nipping at the other horses playfully.

Years later when I was needing time to myself I would walk out into the pasture and climb up on my big black horse whose name was Jupiter. He was a 16 hands registered quarter horse and the love of my life. All I would do was drape myself around him, as he grazed in the pasture, enjoying the calmness of his energy as he walked around.

When I was ten I would spend the summers with my father in Taos, New Mexico. He would go there to paint and to sell his art at his gallery there. Instead of renting or buying a house, he would set up his tepees and camp out on his friend's land. He always brought his horses, dogs, goats and sheep with him to keep him company. So, it wasn't unusual when we returned to camp late one afternoon after being in town all day to find our camp had been ravaged by a pack of wild dogs. After checking to see if all of our animals were okay and seeing that they were fine we headed into the tepees which had been heavily investigated. That evening was dedicated to cleaning up. As I was cleaning I got it into my head to tame one of the dogs to take care of.

The next day I didn't go into town to work at the gallery but stayed at camp. My father always took his dogs to the gallery with him so I was alone with the other animals that were there. Not sure how to go about it, I sat down outside and started to try to telepathically move into the field of the dogs. For the first few tries that day I didn't have any results, until late in the evening when I was trying again and heard a whimper behind me, then a low growl. Excited I didn't respond but continued to concentrate on sending out unconditional love to this animal. I had my eyes closed and then felt something come up to me and sniff around.

I wasn't able to see the dog as it kept hidden but the next day I tried it again and then again the next day. Finally on the third day when I heard the whimpering I reached out my closed hand out and was licked.  I opened my eyes and there sitting in front of me was a very scruffy medium sized dog looking at me wagging it's tail. That day was the beginning of a beautiful friendship and I soon had my own dog that I called Fritz.

Looking back I see that we all share the ability in remembering in not limiting our own awareness of the world around us but to live and experience past the five senses as there is so much that life has to offer us as multi-dimensional beings.

"Fears and Phobias"

The lesson that kept showing up again and again this week was about fears and phobias. It seemed that every time I looked around I ran into some sort of fear with a phobia attached to it with myself and others. Even my son's golden Labrador who is a rescue displayed a sense of phobia when we took him for a check up at the vet. He seemed to think we were going to abandon him there and kept trying to climb into our laps to hide. He even started to shake as we held him and coxed him to finish his check up.

My daughter on the other hand had an incident with a spider in the bathtub and clearly had to have her father help her out with removing it to the outside. Even my cat who found a bug outside and finally ended up catching it with her paw had a conniption fit when she finally touched it. All we heard was this loud wail and complaining in cat language. Looking out the window we saw her shaking her paw profusely complaining that it had wiggled. She is an indoor cat. When checking in with myself, my fear of losing a friend who was diagnosed with breast cancer in stage 3 reared it's head, even
though I know she has a good chance of surviving the cancer.

When I thought about the feeling of being fearful I remembered being a small child and my father telling me that fear was really a tool to help us navigate through our lives in what may or may not be healthy for us. Our fears were not ever meant to rule us or make us miserable. If we allowed our fears to take over and develop into a phobia then we have the potential for them to shut us down, stopping us from experiencing and seeing the whole picture. What we can learn from this is to take the time to really analyze what makes us fearful, then we are able to decided if it is something we can move through to heal or even step around it.

As I continued to analysis what fear is all about, I could see that if we continue to feed our fears then in the long run it can make us physically ill or even take over our lives. One of my friends who is a firewalker once told me that, "Fear is about stepping out of our comfort zone." Looking back on my week with my family I saw that even though some of our fears we can laugh at, some of them could become miserable if we let them take over. In the end all I know is that if we live our lives through our fears then we miss out on a big chuck of enjoying our lives and each other to the fullest.

"The Self Saboteur"

I was having lunch with a dear friend the other day and she wanted to know about the archetype of the self saboteur. I had to admit to her that I had seen that energy pattern in some of the people I have known during my lifetime but I was not able to trace the source of the catalyst that perpetuate it. I did however tell her that I would send it out into the universe that I wanted to know the answer and see what came to me.

It didn't take long to get an answer. A few days later I was at the Halfprice bookstore browsing through some titles looking for something to read. I found a book called Riding Between the Worlds, "Expanding our potential though the way of the horse," by Linda Kohanov. This book caught my eye as I had been interested in taking horse back-riding up again and loved the idea of the energy connection with the animal. As a strong animal lover it was just right up my ally.

I have to say I was surprised on how quickly my small prayer was answered. There in the first few pages in the book was the answer to what my friend had wanted to know about the self saboteur.

Just a side note: Even though the author didn't label what she was describing as the Self saboteur it matched up to what I have seen and heard from others who are in this energy pattern. Here are a few quotes from the book that I found on page 5 which were quite informative.

Page 5 (Second paragraph)

"Rigid narcissistic parents still inflict untold suffering on family members who assert their own needs and desires. Those growing up in abusive environments can feel downright terrified by success."

Kohanov also goes on to say that abused children, "Are wired to expect any rise in self-esteem, personal expression, sexual excitement, love, joy or connection to end in tragedy or shame. They often pass these debilitating behavioral and emotional patterns onto their children, even if, as adults they manage to break the cycle of overt physical abuse."

There was quite a bit more but this is what caught my attention. I was excited the next day to call my friend and share the book with her.

"A Topic On Healing"

I was having a very nice conversation with someone the other day and the subject that was brought up was about us healing as multidimensional beings. I love the word multidimensional because it really describes us as human beings, as we are all spirit beings living in a physical body. The way the conversations went was really about how we need to take care of ourselves a whole being and not forgetting that we are both.

From my experience of talking to many people about the subject there have seen a lot of controversy of how we should manage our health care. The pendulum swings far in both directions when this discussion is on the table. Different people are very adamant about what they feel is the right way to go when looking at holistic healing compared to the physical medical field. Some of the people I have talked to only want to go the natural way of healing while there are others that think holistic medicine is a bunch of, "Hooie".

What has been brought to my own attention is that together both methods of healing work very well hand-in-hand. They not only seem to compliment each other but have the ability to treat the whole person when both methods are applied appropriately. My own hat goes off to those hospitals like Harris Methodists in Fort Worth, TX who promote the Healing arts program along with the physical way of healing. I have been informed that there are also other hospitals that are using energy healing in different forms to promote the healing process such as the Healing Touch, Reiki or essential oils.

When looking at the big picture it seems really important to remember that we are both, not just flesh and blood, but also spirit. If we stop thinking about the controversy over separating the two, we can see and experience the benefits of both methods of healing working together for the most optimal healing for us as multidimensional beings.
