Repost- "The Habit of Stress"

One of the things that I have noticed as I have been talking to others is that most people seem to be a little stressed with their everyday lives. I know I have in my own life that is why I have been asking around wondering what other people are doing about their stress. I must admit that I have been surprised about some of the things that I have seen as people shared with me. Someone that I know is so stressed that it has affected his eyes. Another person that I talked to has trouble sleeping and found out that it is because the stress has started to burn out her adrenal glands. A dear friend of mine is gaining weight because she eats when she is stressed. Other people that I know are either taking something for it or trying their best to relax when they can so that the stress doesn't make them edgy when they are with their families and loved ones.

In some cases people are so stressed out that it begins to take a toll on the physical bodies. Examples like clenching our teeth at night causing a shift in the bite changing the way our teeth are set. We age quicker, we become sexually inactive, and we become sick as the stress affects our organs. Stress even causes emotional blocks which turn on us and block the natural flow of energy that is meant to rejuvenate our physical bodies. We can't think and feel that we are walking around in a fog.

As I thought about it I wondered to if we as human beings can become addicted to stress or was it more of a habit? If we live within a world that is always saturated with stress then what would happen if somehow we woke up, and noticed that it was gone. What would happen then? Would we look for things that start the adrenaline going so that we have that edge that we need everyday to get that jolt like a cup of coffee? Would we wonder what it was like to be in a world of peace, but become board? I was just wondering if we can change our lifestyles, and change our eating habits along with what we think about would we find that we miss the stress in our lives, and began to look for it again? I know this thought sounds crazy, but as I look around I find that in a world of traffic, and deadlines we seem to be living in a world that seems to somehow perpetuate promoting stress in our lives.

Then as I was sitting in traffic I realized that the only one who could change things in my own life was me, and I was in the drivers seat. I was the one who allowed the stress in my own life, and I was the one who could make the rules in my life that would eliminate stress. One of the things that I needed to think about was allowing myself to let go of the things that stress me out, and to be aware of any triggers that would trigger it. Just by being aware more of what I am feeling, and what makes me stressed gives me options of what I can do to handle it, and let it go. I knew to that holding it in my body to deal with it later was not a good idea, or to live in it for hours was only making me unhealthy. It was time to step into my own personal power, and own it. Sounds easy, but not really. It is amazing how I discovered in my own life that the auto pilot in my body could take over in some situations, and I would move back into wool gathering. Now, I knew I was acting out of an old habit, and it is time to break the pattern.

Love/Fear

I don't know why we have days when we are very aware and others when we just go through the motions while taking life in stride.  Looking back I realize we have all been through some major shifts. I always have a clearer picture when I first wake up from a good night's sleep than I do when I am right in the middle of something just going about my usual day.

Yesterday, after talking to a few friends, I ran into some major fears about being open about their gifts. It is interesting to know that even now there are still many people feeling that there is a lot of persecution going on. Surprisingly enough, it is the lower energy of fear that calls out to the lower energies in the world that create this experience of being attacked.

You might have heard the term "Like attracts Like." With that, look around at your friends and who is in your life. We just can't help being with those that we can relate to and those who are like us. This does not change, even on the other side. It was a few years ago that I learned that there are really only two major types of emotions, one is love and the other is fear. Everything else falls under one of those categories.

This is why it is good to be mindful that it is fear that the lower energies feed on, and it is fear that attracts those who feel comfortable in those lower emotions. When you work and live in the vibration of love, then there is no room for fear, and for any reason to lose or gain power to control others or a situation. It is the love that shines a light on darkness, which opens the doors for healing and spiritual growth.

Sounds simple?

Energy Fever

Memories of being sick and having fever is an experience that we all have shared in our own human experience. As our temperature rose we felt hot and our energy escaping through the heat out of our bodies into our energy fields around us. Even our breath was hot when we breathed. Then after the heat came the chills that seemed to seep from our bones making us dive under the covers for warmth.

Why do I even mention this you might ask? Well, fever is the way our physical body purges the germs that are not compatible for our health. But did you know that you can use a technique that can help with anxiety that is in the form of an energy fever? What we do know is that anxiety can be triggered by a lot of different things but when it is triggered in the body bleeds into our cellular memory causing our physical bodies to react. Sometimes our minds are wondering what is going on as our body goes into a memory response and we become ill or over anxious.

To work on clearing out the cellular memory is to first find your center and locate where it is in your chakra system that is being affected the most by the trigger. Once this information is obtained then you can place your focus on that particular center and open it up by imagining a door or an opening.

Side Note:  If there is more than one chakra center affected then I would work on one at a time.

Once the door is open, allow the energy of any emotions, images, and any sensations to surface in that chakra you are working on while moving your complete attention and awareness into the energy. Don't judge but go ahead and allow yourself to experience it as it comes up and makes itself known. It may get very intense but if you can hold the energy and continue to experience it without having to disconnect it will eventually calm down. From there you can imagine building an energy heat or what I call an energy fever in that chakra to rise up while burning and pushing the intense energy out through the door of the energy center. Feel it or imagine it rising up and leaving the physical body as it radiates out through the skin and into the outer bodies of the spirit.

When the energy fever reaches the spirit bodies around the physical form what you have left is the residue that you are clearing out. From this point I like to ask that what is left to be taken into the light for the highest good so that it is not just floating around in the field to be recycled again into the physical form. This will also make sure that any residue will not be in a place to affect others who may be vulnerable to that kind of energy.

Side note: the chakra that you are working can respond intensely to the treatment. For example if you are working on the heart chakra and you discover a lot of fear embedded in it you will feel the intensity of emotional energy in that organ that is related to that particular chakra. This is caused because the energy of the fear is programmed in the cells creating a response in the heart.

Several things can happen on the physical level depending on the person and how they hold the energy. They may experience a tightness, shortness of breath, heart beating faster, left arm may go numb, or you may feel the urge to throw up. All this can happen when doing this self treatment which is a part of the clearing of that emotional energy and the attachments to the emotional fear. If it gets too intense then stop and recenter yourself to calm the chakra down to revisit later when you feel you can come back. If you decide to continue remind yourself that what you are experiencing in that moment is a part of the emotional  trauma in the energy that you are releasing.  It will eventually calm back down as it releases. Always do a self check and self evaluation before, during and after the treatment. Sometimes the energy that is being released may not release in one session. And will have to be revisited to finish the release. A word of caution is if for any reason you feel that you are in danger from over stressing the organ then shut it down to see if it resides and if it doesn't then contact a physician.

Remember it is always best to do things in moderation when learning a new technique. And the energy fever is a process that the body recognizes as a natural way to release and re-balance the energy within the body. In my own work I have practiced the energy fever on myself and used it on clients with excellent results from the procedure.

The Shards of Grief

I have had my own experiences of grieving weather it was the loss of someone I loved, the loss of a pet, or even an event in my own life that caused my soul wanting to vacate the hull of the shell that is my body. In those moments I have had the opportunity to feel what it is like to lose something precious to me as my being is flooded with an unending emptiness, losing all hope of recovering. And then years or even days later I would wake up one day sensing that something had lifted only to recognize that the grief was gone.

In those moments I find myself carefully doing a self check to see if it was my own imagination or just a tiny break that transpired while I was sleeping. It is like walking through a field of land mines wondering if I will step on a mine and it will go off. Most often I find that the grief was gone but in it's place memories attach to a knowing that it is going to be okay and the loss was only a temporary situation as  separation is only an illusion. So how does it all work?

I have pondered this in my own mind as the grief seems to have a life to itself. Each one of us on this earth handles grief differently and it is perfect the way we are all programed to move through the process.  But in my own path I have noticed that when I grieve there really isn't anything I can do to control it. My emotions and my body have the whole process down and it is better to just go with what I am feeling because if I hold it back it seeps into my life reminding me that I am not finished with the process.

So here is what I see... The mind, no matter how much it understands the situation or tries to put the loss together, separates from the physical form and is flooded by emotions. There in itself we have lost the battle of trying to hold it together. Our bodies then remembers the energy of the physical presence of what was lost. It is like someone stepping out of a room and the feeling of losing something that was there before. On an unconscious level when a death occurs we pick up the energy of the physical from no longer holding the energy of the soul on the earth as it transitions into the pure energy of the spirit creating a shift in our own energy fields. The same thing happens when we have a big change in our lives and our energy fields pick up on it because it creates a ripple hitting our emotions alerting us that something has been changed.

It is when all three parts of us unite as the mind, body, and spirit that we process the change on a much higher level sending the signals which calm the emotions while penetrating the energy field and spreading out through the physical from. This union is the game changer as now the mind and body is linked up with the field recognizing that the change was dictated and executed on a much higher level releasing us from the emotional grief.  As the shards come together we began to feel whole and are accepting of what unfolds in our live creating peace once again. For some this union happens quick and for others it is a slow process. I have experienced both. What we have to do is allow ourselves the grace to move through our own healing.

The Reflection in the Mirror

It seems funny that when we take a really good look at relationships we often find ourselves reflected in the other person. Sometimes this can be an amazing experience and other times it can be downright annoying. To some degree when we are in a relationships we lose ourselves and the other person within the perimeter of our emotional attachments which can feel like it is flowing into a heavy fog. If the relationship is going well this is may not be a problem but if there is a ripple in the connection it can become hard to sort it out as the lines are blurred in knowing who's personal baggage belongs to whom.

If you find yourself in an uncomfortable position while in a relationship with someone it is best to find a place where you are able to sort out your own actions and feelings. With a little practice you can tap into yourself to disconnect from the other person just long enough to identify why your buttons are being pushed or why your feelings are hurt. By learning how to do this simple process you can be more subjective of what is happening in those uncomfortable moments where you can then see what is really going on and why there is a misunderstanding.

For those who are  a little more emotionally sensitive it is a really good practice to take a deep breath to center yourself while taking a small step backwards to move into your own energy. Remember, when we are in close proximity with someone we are sharing our energy fields and stepping back helps us distinguish what is our ours. Just a little note that this holds true for long distant relationships as when we are thinking about someone or even talking to them on the phone our energy is reaching out over the distance.

For those who are more comfortable at feeling into someones else's energy stepping back may not be the answer. In this case it is a little more tricky as it is important not to get too caught up in the emotions but to be mindful in making a couscous decision to discern what is yours emotionally and separating the reactions. Once this is achieved you can see the whole disagreement on a lager scale and decide what your own role played in the disagreement.

Taking these few steps allows us to separate ourselves from the emotional attachment of defending or pushing back in order to change focus to reevaluating the situation. From there we then have the choice to work on owning our own stuff while allowing the other person to work on themselves if they choose too. What we need to be most mindful of is that working on ourselves changes who and what we attract into our lives and frees us up from having to repeat a particular pattern.  A definition for insanity is continuing to repeat a pattern over and over.

The beauty of relationships is that they come into our lives as a reflection of what we already see in the mirror. Those who resonate with our energy will be attracted to us and we to them. So it is really up to us to make the changes if we don't like what we see or to sit back and enjoy it when we do.

Soul Agreements

Spiritual release is an amazing process as it allows a person to learn to recognize old triggers in their life that catapult the physical brain and body into reenacting old behaviors that no longer serve that person's highest good. I like to call these old patterns Soul Agreements as they are apart of a process that is imprinted upon a person soul from an experience that they believe is now a truth for them as they walk through life. With these soul agreements a trigger is then formed to help hold that truth in place.

These triggers hold a program that influences a certain behavior pattern as a device to help a person survive or even make it through their day at one time. Then as time moves on these old patterns are no longer needed but the person still carries the old baggage and still enforces the behavior that comes with it. An example of that would be a childhood experience where the parent is always sick and the child grows up taking care of the parent. Now as an adult the child becomes a care giver to others whether they are in need of help or not. This behavior was needed when the child was growing up but now as an adult they gravitate towards relationships where they are always the caregiver because that is what they know how to do, making a once healthy relationship unbalanced.

So I guess the next question is, "How do we go through the process of releasing these kinds of old soul agreements that have become baggage around our necks?" One step is to recognize that a trigger can be disguised as an old fear or belief so that when we are thrown into a situation that brings a soul agreement up we must become aware of our own actions. It is when we are in those experiences that we are able to look to see if the reaction to the trigger is necessary or even true to where we are in life. This process allows us to really analyze what we are doing and decided for ourselves if it is time to break our soul agreement with ourself.

One thing that is important to mention when working with spiritual release and clearing out old soul agreements is that when we ask for help to clear an old pattern the Universe will open up and dole out many opportunities to work on ourselves. This reminds me of a television commercial where a man finds a genie in a bottle and the genie offers to grant him a wish. The man thinks and then asks for a million bucks. The genie agrees, nods his head, and gives him a million bucks in deer form. The irony in the commercial holds true to reality. Our higher selves and the workings of the universe are not always congruent with what we think we want in our lives so it is up to us to make sure we are Clear in what we are asking for. Remember, to the rest of the universe we are only having an experience where to us it is a big deal. Therefore we must stay conscious of this connection when we ask to release an old patten and not feel victimized because we get what we asked for.

After some practice in breaking a soul agreement we can then release ourselves from holding ourselves accountable to repeat an old pattern that no longer serves it's purpose on a physical, mental and soul level. Then when we are confronted with the same situation we see other ways to maneuver through it without the triggers releasing old reactions as we move on to other things that take precedence in our lives.

Beyond the Physical MInd

Years ago, when I was attending college, my roommate was taking a class in which she gained a revelation. She came back to our dorm room one day to report that she had learned that when the physical mind dies, we no longer exist. I remember being very disturbed about this information and for months afterwards I used to turn it over in my mind thinking about it trying to analyze it. I have to say that the whole idea was downright depressing at the time. Not able to prove or disprove it, though, I filed it away in my memory bank to investigate at a later date. As it happened it wasn't until years later when I was married with two lovely children that I had my own personal experience that disproved this line of thinking without any room for question. It was what I now call the knitting experience. At the time, I was knitting when I lifted out of my body to where my own consciousness detached from my physical form only to merge into the All and into one consciousness.

From this experience I learned that consciousness beyond the physical mind does exist. Not only does it exist on an individual level, it also is a part of a greater consciousness comprised of everything that exists in the universe on a physical and energetic level. The term that most are familiar with is the universal mind or what others may call the mind of God. What is fascinating is that even what most call primitive cultures know about its existence. So why then, are we as an advanced society still questioning it from a scientific  perspective?

I believe it is because we try to think or rationalize everything we know within the limits of our physical brains. But then the question comes up, how else are we to know or investigate it if we don't use our mind? This is when we have to remember that we are multidimensional beings with other abilities that are well beyond the physical experience. Yes, there are those who have faith, but faith can still be blind when we have more then ample opportunities to move forward into knowing that there is more to our own existence then just flesh and bone.

Twilighting

These days twilighting has many different connotations to it but when i use the word twilight I mean that time period when you are about to fall asleep yet you are still awake. You are still very aware of your surroundings and in enough of a relaxed state to access information that has by passed you during the busy day. It is here when the magic happens.

For those who are wanting to get in touch with their super subconscious or even wanting to do some astral traveling this is where it all happens.  By practicing either through mediation or relaxing your body you can access this state but the real trick is not to fall asleep. If you can stay conscious you can actively ask questions getting answers to things that we block ourselves from.

The funny part is that everyone can reach this point of existence as we all come in and out of sleep when we go to bed or wake up. But it is in this place of twilight that we can work on ourselves, change old habits, or even go deeper with what we want to know about.

Something I would recommend to anyone who is working on themselves is to spend a little time holding this space so that later, as you master it, you can move into a twilight stage for a deeper release and healing. In my own life I find that when I am bombarded with so much stimulation from the world and can't see the forest for the trees, I will go into a twilight stage and there I can access information that I seek. Also when I am in twilight I can see a broader picture of what I am trying to accomplish which gives me more options as I am working on something or talking with someone.

Again, for anyone who is developing their own natural abilities,  twilighting is an amazing tool to work with.

Into the Storm

A few years ago I made a ring for a dear friend before he went to the Philippines on a mission trip and when he returned I noticed he was't wearing the ring. Curious I asked him about it. He said that it had fallen off into the sea during a storm.

Interested in hearing more I asked him how that happened. He told me that he was out fishing with the fisherman in their canoes from the village he was staying at when they realized that a storm was quickly rolling over the horizon. His first thought was that they could out paddle the storm and make it to the shore since he could see the shore line from where they were. Instead the fisherman pulled in their nets and began to paddle towards the storm. Surprised he very quickly let them know that they were going the wrong way.  That was when the leader of the group piped up and said that they were too far form the shore to make it before it hit and the only way they had a chance was to paddle into the storm.

My friend who I would describe as a brave man told me that on that particular day he was tested and wasn't really sure that they would make it at all. There they were in handmade canoes paddling up and down the big waves moving through the ocean traveling through the storm itself. All he could do was to hang on and pray as the fisherman continued to paddle never skipping a beat. It was somewhere in the middle of it all that the ring slipped off his finger and was swallowed up by the ocean.

In what seemed like many hours he began to notice that waves got smaller and the wind and darkness fell away.  Looking up he could feel the calmness setting all around the canoes with an understanding that they had made it. They were safe and no one was lost. As hey sat there in the water watching the storm behind them they saw it spreading over where the beach and main land was located.  He said it was a sight to behold as darkness moved through that space. Then it dawned on him that they owed their lives to the leader who made the choice that day to paddle into the storm instead of trying to out run it. Sometime afterwards he looked down at his hands and noticed that the ring was gone but knew that when he returned I would make him another one. I of course was very honored to make him a ring and happy to have my friend back with us safe and sound.

As moved through storms in my own life his story has stuck with me over the years.  Looking at different experiences I see situations where we all may want to run the other way or avoid something at all cost but in the end it always catches up with us, creating more chaos than just facing it. No one ever said that life was easy. And I see too that not only the do the storms in our lives make us who we are but they allow us to look back with a knowing that we have really accomplished something once we reach the other side. It is in those moments that we know that we have truly lived our lives to the fullest.

The Gift of Dreams

One of the biggest gifts of the spirit that some often miss is dreaming. Many know that dreams are important but with the stress of the physical day they are often forgotten or only brought up if it was a nightmare. Remembering that we are 50% spirit and we dream every night whether we remember it is something we need to take time out and investigate. Carl Jung might have had something there when he was studying dreams. Now, it is important to know that there are several aspects of meaning when it comes to dreams which can be noted under certain categories.

Dreams can be a warning or communication with your spirit that something is coming up in the future. A few years ago I had a dream that someone was coming into my life that would create a lot of change. I even had the name on my lips when I awoke the next morning and sure enough that person showed up allowing me to expand and grow more spiritually. A Blessing in my own life.

Dreams can also be a connection to people that we know who have passed on to the other side. They open up the veil that separates us from the spirit world and messages can be brought through to this side. How many of you have heard or seen someone in your own dream who has passed wanting to say hello or give you a message that they are Okay?

One of my most favorite aspects of dreaming is the classroom. No, it is nothing like what we did as children sitting at a desk raising our hands to speak. It is more like a movie that we are watching or apart of with someone with us like a Master teacher or Spirit guide by our side explaining or showing things to us. These are the dreams that most do not remember as it is the work of the soul.

When you are working on remembering these dreams it is best to work on conscious dreaming so that you can bring parts of the teachings back to help with lessons on this side. These dreams are extremely helpful as they allow you to understand many things that we overlook in our busy lives and help you mature in all situations. Some of the teaching are so advanced that they don't make sense in this 3rd dimension and can be confusing when you try to bring it back to this world. That is why we don't remember most of our dreams.

The other day I woke up and could not remember my dream and took a nap where I was semi-conscious while going into the dream and knew that I was continuing the dream from the other night which was a lesson. When I awoke I could not recall a thing that the dream was about only that it was a teaching and that my soul got it on a totally different level. sometimes I remember the dreams and sometimes they come back when I am in a situation that I need to recall the lessons.

Dreams can be a portal to the astral world of travel and exploring. There are so many dimensions that our bodies can not go to but we can when we move into the energy of our spirit navigating with ease and often accompanied by others that we know in those worlds. Sometimes those experiences can be so amazing that we don't want to wake from our dreams. Did you know that we can visit others in their dreams? We can!

Dreams are amazing and there is so much more to them than what we realize. If we only knew that we have the same power to create like we do in our dreams in this world as our whole world would change. Ahh... but it is coming.

Ancient Wisdom

"So what does that mean?" a dear friend asked over the phone one day as I was outside watering the flowers in the back yard. "Hmmm, good question, I said," as my brain tried to find an answer in a quick assessment of the conversation. You want to know if a person can transfer bad energy that can flow and infect another person?

The answer is "yes", but as soon as the thought moved to the tip of my tongue I could hear the words of the Medicine men from Taos, NM reminding me that energy is not ever good or bad. It is the person who uses the energy to be good or bad and that is what makes it what it is... So yes, a person with bad intentions can use it for evil, or if they have good intentions, for good.

Then the thought hit me. So, if a person has bad intentions toward another human being then, if that other person is aware of this energy they have the ability to change the energy to a good energy and send it out for the good of all.  A very good skill worth learning... It is what is in your heart and your mind that will show... sometimes the whole experience is a wake up call to learn what is in your own heart...

Don't laugh! As for those who make fun of the evil eye and the superstitious attitude that the older cultures hold to, a certain person came into my life who you would never suspect of giving people the evil eye and taught me a very valuable lesson. At the time I was at work when an acquaintance came up to me and warned me to watch out for that particular person for they would surely put the evil eye on me if I were not doing what that person wanted me to do. I remember laughing at the mere thought and thinking that the person who told me this had a wild imagination never even suspecting that one day I would witness it.

A few months later I was in a training session with a group of people from the office and out of the blue the woman I was warned about started glaring at me intensely from across the room. She showed such hatred and revenge in her eyes. When I turned to smile at her she would continue to stare, making it seem she wanted me to bolt from the room. I ignored her, but I could feel her icy stare trying to penetrate me through the rest of the training session. As uncomfortable as it was, I kept having to refocus my energy into the material that we were learning for the rest of the morning. Each time I was reminded that she was there I would send out love to her person. I did not play her game. At the time I was unsure what was the cause but later found out that I had chosen to go another direction in our group and had angered her profusely.

I know that negative energy is out there but trust yourself and allow yourself to know that if you feel uncomfortable or the energy is off it is your choice to redirect the energy into the earth to be cleansed or to transform it into positive and loving energy. We forget that we don't have to take on others' energy unless we choose to.

Also, we must remember that we are human and with the highest intentions we can directly change the energy around us for the greater good. But know, if you are in a situation that is bad for you then it might be best for you to leave, even if you have the ability to shift the energy from negative to positive. think about what it is costing you and if it is really flowing in the positive... You have the personal power to change where and who is in your life.

Repost "Light Language"

Light language is a language that every human being is already very familiar with. It is a language of the chakras, aura, and energy fields around and in the body. The language is something that I feel most people are not conscious of yet it is a fluent language of the soul, spirit, and even the subconscious mind. The one draw back is that we as human beings become so invested in the physical world around us that we often miss this beautiful language all together even though our bodies, and energy fields are speaking the language and picking up information from others on an a every day basis.

What most people feel, or experience when they tap into this language is what the intuitive world calls hits or a knowing. In truth it is the light from our energy fields encoded with the energy from our emotions, and thoughts which are always talking to other people's energy fields expressing our deepest wishes, and desires. The information that is shared can be about our health and even our soul contracts that we have during this life time.

When you break everything down you find that everything is created out of light and energy. This is the very basics of understanding that light also carries information that is not only an expression of a color but rather an energy that can be seen, felt, or experienced in a number of different ways within our energy fields which bump into other people's fields. For those that have the ability to see the human aura they can learn to read the colors but they can also learn to feel the energies that someone is expressing in their fields.

Our health is also projected in these energy fields around us and before we develop an illness it always shows up in our subtle bodies which is comprised of light and energy. If we don't clear the energy within the fields holding the illness we eventually advance to the next stage of carrying the illness in our physical bodies. Acupuncturist and energy workers have known this through out the ages. If you want to really look into language of light you will find that Ancient Chinese medicine has documented this amazing energy within the fields as well.

A few good books on the subject are.....

A Sacred Space

One of the many lessons for me in this lifetime as an energy worker and teacher was to learn how to stand and hold the space for someone when they are learning how to work with energy. What does this mean, you may ask? It means knowing that you are connected to all things and everything without a doubt. In that moment you step out of faith into a full knowing and peace as you hold an energy with the Creator that allows miracles to happen in that presences without judgment. It is a sacred space that opens up when connected, reminding others of their own connection, ushering in unconditional love.

This past weekend I was reminded again how important it is to be aware of holding that sacred space. I had the opportunity to hear a story of a person whose spouse had been in an accident and the doctors were preparing them in case they didn't recover from the brain injuries. The one telling the story explained that in the chaos of the trauma they reached into their faith and then went into a full knowing that things were going to be okay in the end. As they held their vigil, their spouse miraculously recovered. In fact I met both of them and enjoyed visiting, not even realizing that one of them had suffered such a grave injury a year ago, until I was told.

Most of us don't even realize that we step into that space until we are tested with our love for others. It is something that we are becoming more and more aware of as we learn about energy and how we merge into the All. If there is a temptation to take over, or to manipulate someone else's experience then we are not in that space of unconditional love, but coming from a place of ego. It is to not for us to interfere once we move into that sacred space of connection to change others. It is for us to hold the energy so that they can find their way by being an example.

It was explained to me once that the vibration of moving into unconditional love and the All is an energy code that we all remember on some level of our being. It is when someone remembers and holds that energy code in their vibration and if we are not afraid we then can follow the code to find the combination that fits, to help us move into that energy of recovery, and being whole.

Why We Ground

One of the age old questions that I am frequently asked about in my classes is "why do we ground before doing energy work?" For many this topic is a no brainer but for those of us, me included, who seem to have to learn from experience, it is an important to understand how it works when working with energy. If you do a internet search you will find that the spiritual teachers agree that grounding is vital to energy work. Some will even warn you that if you are in a class and not being grounded then you are in a situation that is unhealthy for your well being.

Those people who are natural in astral projections or moving outside of the realm of the physical body are not limited to always being grounded as that is their natural state. But when you move energy inside the cellular structure or release old energy patterns that block the flow of the chakras and subtle bodies, grounding is key in bringing balance to the whole system. You see, we are energy beings in a physical body. We experience both of these sides as our human experience in the physical plane therefore we must remember who we are as a whole.

I first learned about being grounded when I was sixteen and spent that summer visiting my dad in Taos, NM. At that time he was painting, lecturing, and running an art gallery. When I arrived, my father was already busy with the tourist season, and not knowing what to  do with my time I became bored. Because of this I would follow him around like a shadow talking about my day non stop. Tired of tripping over me, my dad enrolled me in a Tai Chi class in the park. I went only because he dropped me off and insisted it would do me some good to get some fresh air.

Eventually I started to enjoy the class and began to learn a few things. Our master teacher explained how the earth is like a huge battery under our feet in which we could tap into energy whenever we needed to. He taught us how to plant our feet firmly into the ground, holding on to our stance, while pulling the energy up through the bottom of our feet into our chakras and subtle bodies. This exercise created heat within the core while moving the energy in our bodies and anchoring us into the physical form. From there, our thoughts were clearer and our movements were in line with the flow of the energy currents in and around us.

It was years later, when I started to work as an energy practitioner, that I was reminded once again to stay grounded or the effects of the energy work would be less effective. If, for any reason, I skipped this one step I would become extremely tired and light headed during and after the sessions.  If  I plugged into the energy of the earth before starting an energy session I was well able to hold the channel of the natural flow of energy moving through me as a conductor. As long as I stayed out of my own way I could work with clients and not feel drained or sick.

In classes, I like to use the analogy of a tree as an example to remember to ground before working with energy. When we look at the branches on the tree they reach out and spread into the sky. If you took that same tree and looked at it upside down you would see the same spread in the roots system connected into the ground. Which brings to mind a saying... "As above, so below and as below, so above". Like an electrical current, it is important to be connected both in the ethereal and the physical, to move the energy. And what better way to stay connected than by planting your feet into the earth.

Repost "A Foot in Both Worlds"

I had a very interesting experience happen to me this past week. It happened while I was driving to the grocery store of all things. It was when I was in my car coming up to an intersection when all of a sudden I felt a slight shift and was deeply conscious that I really was a spirit being having a human experience. Now, I know the quote, "We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.” by Pierre Teilhard de Chardin.  I have even quoted this in the book I have written. This is not something new but in that moment it wasn't me seeing out of my human eyes in my own body. It was me seeing out of my spirit recognizing I was in a human body.

For a few brief seconds I was aware of more than just the routine drive to the grocery store and the tasks at hand. What I saw and understood on a much deeper level was well past my own life and even other people's lifetime experiences in their own physical bodies. In that moment I saw the connection of all the spiritual contracts with everyone in my own life and how we inner reacted with each other. I knew without question that this experience in this physical body was only a small amount of time as we would return back into our original forms of spirit in which that experience was massive in comparison of what we have experienced on this earth.

The analogy that came to my mind was like taking a trip to Europe and then returning back to our regular lives after the trip was over. This thought hit me as my brain tried to take over the whole experience in rationalizing and bringing into context of what was happening to me. As I sat there in my car I was aware that I was experiencing both the realities of the spiritual and physical worlds at one time. I could even feel my mind struggling to take back control of it's reality when again I felt a shift. When this happened I felt the whole experience began to slowly fade as a memory as I became more aware of driving to the grocery store with my grocery list still in my purse. By the time the light turned green for me to go I was well grounded in the physical world again but part of me was still in "awe" of the whole experience.

As I drove on I tried to put the whole experience behind me but knew if I ever wanted to go back to analyze what happened to me I could, if I really wanted to know more. One of the things that I have come to understand is that once you have an experience it seems to be imprinted in your memory. Today as I write the account of my experience I don't feel the need to question what happened. I know that what happened to me was very much real and that I am like everyone else on this planet a spirit being having a human experience.

Note:  I do not participate in recreational drugs to achieve these states.  They happen spontaneously.

Balance of the Energies

Remembering to clear one's self is the subject that really drew my attention this week. I noticed that as we go through our everyday routines we forget that we can take a few minutes to clear our energy centers and fields. When I say centers and fields I am referring to the Chakras and Subtle Bodies. One thing to keep in mind is that if we are running energy through our systems to clear ourselves sometimes energy can get blocked for whatever reason which can throw us off balance while we are clearing our fields. This feeling gives us the opportunity to acknowledge that there is something we need to pay special attention to, and to work a little more on those areas in the chakras or subtle bodies where the energies are stuck.

When I first started out working with energy I leaned that I needed to find a safe and quite space to practice. Home was the best place for me when I started this process. First I would get comfortable and close my eyes focusing on my breath while not trying to control it. After a little while I would then move my awareness into my Heart Chakra which is connected to the Astral body. There I would breath in white light and release any stress, fears, or worries that didn't serve my highest good on the out breath.

When I felt comfortable with what I released I would work my way down each chakra repeating the same process until I reached the Earthstar Chakra under my feet. There I would plant my energy into the earth for grounding and again when I felt good with being grounded I would then move my awareness quickly through the Chakra system back into the Heart Chakra and work my way up to the Crown Chakra.

Once I opened the pathways with white light I could take my awareness into the Soul Star Chakra located above the Crown Chakra enjoying the energy from the golden/white light. After basking in the light energy within the Soul Star I would take the gold/white light down through all my chakras all the way into my Earthstar Chakra. Then I would envision the gold/white energy expanding out through all the chakras, moving out through all my cells and out through my skin into the Subtle Bodies to repair any leaks or tears within them. This process is amazing in healing in balancing the whole energy system and can push out any attachments that may have slipped in. When done I would just sit in the energy and allow that feeling of peace to sweep over my whole being. After awhile I would go back into my Heart Chakra and come out of the mediation.

I also learned that instead of having to go into a heavy meditation that could take twenty or thirty minutes we can then move into clearing our fields in matter of a few minutes because the cellular, energetic bodies and subtle fields already know the drill. I have often sat at a red light and cleared my own fields by the time the light turned green and proceeded to go about my day. Anyone can do this but it is like lot like weight lifting. It builds upon itself. A majority of people can't lift a hundred pounds on the first day but we can work our way up to it.

Energy Frequency

Working with energy I have run into a topic with various people about keeping other people's energy out of their fields. Amazingly this is a common fear and one that I had myself when I started working as an energy worker.

As an Empath it is only natural to pick up on other's thoughts and feelings that are around us but it can also be a hinderance to our energy fields when it gums up our own inner workings. Too often it is easy to blame others for interfering with our energy frequencies but the truth is that we participate in this energy exchange. Some part of us, whether it is conscious or unconscious, is allowing our frequency to open up to the energy of others or allowing ourselves to be corded.

This is true even for those who are not energy workers and feel themselves being drained by others. It is our own responsibility to learn how to work and live in the physical world without shutting ourselves off from it. We must remember that we have the right to say, "No" and release the energy that is overwhelming us. We are not victims, but active participants in all energy exchanges, even the ones that we feel forced upon us. We have the right to deny access and we can block those pathways so we don't get overloaded.

Once, I was sitting with a dear friend having tea one afternoon and as we were enjoying our conversation I started to feel like I needed to take a nap. I was so tired that I was about to excuse myself and go on home. As I was barely able to keep my eyes open and concentrate, my friend excused herself from the table to go to the bathroom. While she was gone the tiredness started slipping away as I began to awake up when it dawned on me that I had been corded by her. I love my friend and knew that if she knew what was going on she would feel bad so I quickly did a body analysis of my energy field and sure enough found a cord in my solar plexus.

After doing Reiki on my Chakra I then channeled-in gold and white light to release and heal the place where the cord had plugged in. I infused it with unconditional love with the intention that she no longer had access to my energy fields. By the time my friend came back I was no longer tired and was ready for round three of courses with our tea. My friend started the conversation up again and within a few minutes I noticed that she seemed to be a getting tired herself without my ample supply of energy. After about ten minutes into the tea she excused herself and went home letting me know that she was extremely tired.

Driving home, I remembered that in the past, my encounters with her had always left me going home afterwards to sleep for hours. This time I was unaffected. In fact I felt really good but I also understood that I had somehow allowed her unconsciously to have access to my energy because we were friends. This happens a lot more then people realize.

From this experience I learned that I had a say in who's energy I let in and who's energy I could block allowing me to have control over my own fields. I also learned that when I worked with someone or if someone did energy work on me and I didn't like their energy once we started I could allow the energy that resonated with me to work in my fields and deny the energy that I didn't like. There again I discovered the personal power that I had over my own energy fields. Once we all  learn this then we discover how much we really do have a say in our own lives both in the physical and spiritual world.

" An Awareness"

A Dream

One night I dreamed that I was really sick and everyone that I came across in the world was sick. Then I saw myself talking to my friends and telling them when I remember getting sick and how it started. We all had the same thing. In my dream I saw a screen on the wall telling everyone how sick we were and how bad the symptoms and the pain would be that we would all experience.

As I looked around the house I realized that there were huge screens all over the place so I decided to go for a walk. I noticed on my walk there were screens everywhere all saying the same thing. I saw this man who stood out from the rest of us standing on the street and I asked about him. Someone told me that the man was crazy and to stay away from him. I noticed that he didn't seem to be sick or dying in any way, shape, or form. "He was not like us?"

That was when I woke up...

An Awareness

The next day on my drive over to see a friend I turned the radio on to listen to some music. I liked the song that was playing so I turned it up. I started to sing along when I realized what I was saying... "I am a Victim!"...."What? What did I just say?"... I listened paying close attention to the words realizing that I didn't like what it was saying so I turned the dial... Another song came on only this one talked about a Co-dependent relationship...  The next song was about hating someone. What????..

Later when I got home I turned the TV on and was surfing through the channels. Again I became aware of what I was hearing and seeing, only to recognize that a lot of it was about fear, loss of power, or taking someone else's!!

Wow, "I didn't know I was really into it!" It was everywhere just like in my dream...

Repost "Cheese Baby"

I know there are times in our lives that we have to learn the hard way. Those are the lessons that teach us so much about ourselves that no one else can help us as we have to move through our own experience to learn. This was such the case when I was working at the Acupuncture clinic in Fort Worth, TX. My friend who owned, and ran the clinic offered to cure me one day when I told her that I was Lactose intolerant. She offered to use tuning forks instead of needles as I don't like needles so I decided to take her up on it since I had nothing to lose. I got on her table, and she did a ten minute session with her tuning forks then let me lay there resting as the energy from the forks realigned the atoms in my physical body bringing it back into balance. I laid there for another ten minutes thinking to myself that I didn't feel a thing. I had no spiritual visions. I felt that I didn't have any sensation that anything had really changed except I felt relaxed from the treatment which was really nice. I went home thinking that nothing really happened, and quickly forgot about it.

A few days later my little sister came to visit with the whole family. It was an amazing time with everyone together. One night she had a cheese platter with every kind of cheese you can think of. If you know me then you know that I love cheese, and have always had a love affair with it. I have no trouble at all helping myself to it only to know that being lactose intolerant I will eliminate it from my body within the few hours. I also know that with cheese I don't suffer any pain as it leaves so I don't have to worry about calories, or how much I eat as it all goes away.

This time no one in our family was eating the cheese as there were a lot of other goodies to eat.  I couldn't help myself as I tired one kind of cheese then another only to take seconds, or thirds possible even more of my favorites. Hours went by, and I was still good. It wasn't until the middle of the night when I awoke with this terrible stomach ache that I realized that something had gone terrible wrong. A rather large amount of pain ripped through my body, and tore at my insides as though I was about to go into labor. My stomach was hard, and I really thought I was about to have a baby. To put it mildly I tired to eliminate it, but had no such luck. My suffering for the rest of the night seemed endless, and continued on into the morning. I begged my husband to go to the store to find something to relieve me from my pain, or just finish me off. He was happy to oblige after being kept up all night. The relief was a slow process, but eventually came to an end.

It was then that I called my friend asking what had happened to me.  I told her what I had eaten, and she began to laugh on the phone as she explained that what I was experiencing was what most people do who are not lactose intolerant. My body was now functioning on a normal process of breaking down the cheese, and I had overloaded it. No longer could I have my fill of my favorite food. There were healthy limits.

With this realization I begged her to change me back to being lactose intolerant. I had lived over forty years with it, and knew how it worked in my body. I realized that at that point in my life I didn't want to change. Her answer was that her job was to fix people not break them. I ended up doing energy work on myself trying to bring myself back to where I was before her treatment as I felt comfortable being lactose intolerant. Eventually I was able to change my body back to the way it was before.

Years later I was teaching a class with my friend who is a Fire Walker. We had two students who were really trying to heal from certain experiences in their lives, and were really vocal about it. That is when my friend stopped, and turned directly to them asking if that they could be healed that day would they be okay with it. Now I remember thinking what an odd question that he was asking as I believed in my heart that we all want to be healed so that we can move on.  I remember that both students paused for a long time as we all waited to hear that they wanted to be healed. But it came to mine, and everyone's surprise as they both agreed that they didn't want to be healed because they understood how to live with their pain, and to heal would change the way they had to think, and live their lives. As I sat there in shock I heard a gentle guidance from within reminding me that I was not so much different as the cheese baby incident came crashing through my thoughts.

You see whether it is a spiritual, physical, emotional, or a mind experience that we are working on we are human after all, and sometimes the real cure can be more than what we are willing to achieve in that time in our lives.

Exercise to raise your vibration

Here is an easy exercise that I share with people to help raise their vibration by using Light.

In the beginning you may want to find a place where you wont be interrupted. You can either sit up or lay down. Find what works best for you to get comfortable. When you do then close your eyes and locate your center by going inside and concentrating on your Heart Chakra. It doesn't matter how you do this either by feeling or imagining it but allow yourself a few minutes to find that space within yourself.

Next become aware of your breathing. You don't have to hold it or count bot notice what you notice. This exercise is about you and recognizing when you are connected so take the time to become aware of the subtle changes and what is happening with you as you go through the exercise. After you feel comfortable with the rhythm of your breath then take your awareness into the lower Chakras, Solar Plexus, Second Chakra, and Base, going down through your feet, continuing on out of the soles of your feet grounding into the earth. Some people like to imagine roots going out into the ground. Another way is to take silver cords with anchors and find a place to anchor down. Do what works best for you.

When you feel comfortable then take your awareness back up through the lower chakras into the heart, throat, third eye, and up into the crown Chakra. This is fun as from there you can then go up into the Soul Star. There you can access a golden/white light that is both relaxing and healing. For some you may need to revisit this exercise a few times before experiencing the Light or even seeing it. If it is as far as you get for now don't worry as it is good that you are even practicing it. Take as long as you need to get yourself merged into the golden/white Light.

Once you adjust and are able to experience the Light you can use your intention to take that gold/white light down into your 7 Chakra bodies. You can move it into all seven in one mediation or do a mediation that works on one  Chakra at a time . The choice is up to you. The point is to expose and change the chakras into a higher vibration by using the light. It takes time and is a great way to do light work on yourself. The golden/white light also helps to balance the chakras and cleans them at the same time. When you feel comfortable and want to disconnect then take your awareness back into the heart Chakra and come out of the meditation when you are ready.

With practice you will be able to access the Light and find your center a lot quicker if you find yourself in a stressful situation. This exercise will help you to align with your higher self within a minute or a few seconds allowing you to connect and deal with the situation in a lot more balanced state. This opens up the bigger picture allowing you to see more options when you need them.

"2016 - A Time for Clearing"

2016 has come in like a hungry lion. For many the planetary shifts have affected more than just our relationships, but the environment around us. These energy shifts have created a lot of friction in different areas of our lives when we start to have old patterns resurface to be revisited. As we continue to adjust to the higher levels of energy that is now supporting us, it is a time to allow ourselves to become aware of patterns that we are working on and decide if we want to let go of them or to work them out so that we can move on.

This can be somewhat challenging when we are Empathic and tend to find ourselves distracted by what we pick up from others and what they are feeling or going through. Our job is to focus on our own energy patterns and recognize that while we can have compassion for others it is not the time to pick up what others are carrying and carry it for them.

Each person must do their own work to succeed in letting go. Those who are afraid to make the changes will continue to stay in these unhealthy patterns that create chaos in their lives and those who take the time to release it will find life less challenging. It is important to remember that what is good for one may not always be good for another. It all depends on the individual and what the life lesson is for that particular person.

2012 was another year that affected a lot of people. This type of energy clearing often brings out a lot of fear. But the flip side is that it is good for us to move on and let go of what is holding us down that no longer serves us for the highest good. It is what some may call a Spring cleaning of the soul.

The best ways to move through an energy clearing is find one's center, recognize when you notice something off, examine it, and decide if it is worth holding on to or letting go. This kind of release allows us to recognize the pattern before it really begins to affect us giving us the chance to take action in either stepping back into it or bypassing it with our own actions. The choice is ours.

Holiday Quote

"I like to compare the holiday season with the way a child listens to a favorite story. The pleasure is in the familiar way the story begins, the anticipation of familiar turns it takes, the familiar moments of suspense, and the familiar climax and ending."

"An Investment of Love"

If the truth be told it is true that we attract people, experiences, and things into our lives by what we send out in our energy fields which includes the length of time it all stays with us. This may make us pause to think about what it is that are magnetically pulling into our lives. The reason I mention this is because there are so many of us who are with people not only experiencing being in a person's presence but can also feel what is in their energy fields when we are with them. What I find most intriguing is that there is still a large percentage of people who are completely unaware of the energy frequencies that are being sent out in their fields around them. This is what my father called "being asleep". For those who are aware of this you already know what I am talking about which brings me to a beautiful story that a friend shared with me only last week.

I was having lunch with a friend and she opened up with a personal story about someone in her past who asserted a lot of power and control over others creating a lot of fear, and anguish among the people they were around. My friend said at the time she was at her wits end when she finally talked to a spiritual teacher who suggested to send an image encapsulating this person in golden Light and releasing them from her anger every time she thought of them. ( Sounds simple enough) She did confess that she was so angry with this person that for a while she was sending them light all the time. A few weeks into her doing this she noticed that something inside her started to change and she began to think of them less and less. Her anger released, replaced with Love where she could then intentionally send healing thoughts, and the highest intentions of good when she thought of them in the Light.

Later on she found out that her efforts had not been in vain but had miraculously changed the situation helping to open the eyes of others who were involved with being controlled. The story has a happy ending as the person released their hold and the people in the situation were able to leave. My friend discovered that when we send out the image of "Light" which is the language of the soul for Love, things change. The lower emotions only feed the energy of lower frequencies and keep people, and situations stuck in a muddy haze.

Throughout history spiritual teachers have told us many times over to Love our enemies and to pray for them. This brings a balance into a low vibration to not only see the Light but to recognize it as a frequency that is remembered, as we are all created by the same hand of our Creator. I know it can sound silly when so much fear is being projected out into the world and when we are resonating in the emotions of our own fears, and anger cloaking the truth in darkness. But the power of Light and Love is a lot stronger than we can even imagine. In those times of fear, frustration, and anger we are all given the opportunity to stand in our own personal power as we are connected and the choice to not only heal someone else, but ourselves as well. In those moments it is about us learning that as we make investments in Love, things happen.
